dummy I was 99% sure your comment was going to be a troll but as I read it I let my guard down for 2 seconds because it seemed sincere and my heartwarming nostalgia was rewarded with an alien wiener in my face

Thank god C9 actually played pretty well so I can stop seeing retards on reddit who claim C9 couldn't even hope to compete with tier 3 EU teams

#71 TFTV Twitch Emotes in TF2 General Discussion
7. some kind of vac icon (tfVac?)

Could we replace the VAC icon with another face of some kind? I associate the VAC spam with CS:GO for sure, and so many channels already have different variations on the VAC emote that I feel like it could be used for something more TF2 specific

#18 favorite video starring tyrone? in TF2 General Discussion
Hildrethhttps://youtu.be/vquSQD33dmc?t=1461

This video sums up Tyrone for me: Gracious in victory, nice sportsmanship and a really great guy, But his comments before the Grand Final tells you he has a winning mindset. "Nothing short of victory".

Legend.

I just noticed that video (i46) and the i49 Fragumentary both have more than 150,000 views now. I think that's pretty awesome

#29 TFTV Twitch Emotes in TF2 General Discussion
DavidTheWinomniJimiJamI think emotes using recognizable player faces would be fun to spam. Admirable doing the PogChamp face is definitely my favorite idea so far because I would actually want to use a funny emote like that all the time. Tyrone doing the Kreygasm face or something would also be pretty fun
It was discussed within the tftv team that while player faces are fun, they can become instantly irrelevant if the player drops from the scene. You'd also need to consider newer viewers who would probably sub if they could understand what the emotes are actually about.

This. Look at our current emote selection. Is it at all relevant to TF2 in 2015?

I definitely see what you guys mean and I agree that is a concern, but how often would the emotes really need to be updated? That set of emotes was created a few years ago if I'm not mistaken, and several of those guys are still very relevant players, and even if they aren't, I could still see myself and others using them if the face/emote itself was funny enough. Like seanbud for example. Even if seanbud isn't still an active invite player, I would still use his emote if it was a very funny or widely applicable face he was making (although that might be partly because of the seanbud meme)

I think the real issue with those emotes was the lack of variety. Each one was basically just the googly eyes, which would've been funny if it was just 1 of them as opposed to all 9. Also none of them had a distinct emotion or reaction, so you never really knew when to use them. But I think most people (myself included) definitely prefer to use emotes that show some sort of emotion or reaction, as opposed to a symbol or word or phrase that just relates to the game. It's always funnier and just gets more usage in general as it applies to more situations.

Those kinds of emotes are the ones that would definitely incentivize me to subscribe personally, but I can definitely see where you guys are coming from with the longevity problem
