#14 Interesting New idea for a cell phone in Off Topic

im sure its not news to anyone that computers/phones are not built on bread boards. but something like this is possible. and if you watch this video thinking that this is some guys idea of the final version i really have nothing to say to you. this isnt legoland. this is integrative thinking that deserves to be encouraged.

#41 Are you proud of being a (competitive) gamer? in Off Topic

im in highschool (11th grade) and all my closest friends know that i play tf2 competitively. They also occasionally play tf2(i got them into it but they really like to play league) occasionally they will bring it up around someone that isnt so close and i talk about how i play the game competitively simply because it is more fun than playing an unorganized/imbalanced public game. I may also bring up how i used to play the game a lot in tournaments and how now i casually play pick up games whenever i'm at home and have nothing better to do.

that video has a lot of taste to it. the slit throat scene is not in context but it is also awesome.

#17 Second opinion in Hardware

have a harddrive and an SSD. with 60gb you can install windows and tf2 on the SSD but sir you need a harddrive.

you can get windows for free (you kinda made it sound like you were going to buy it.i'm just laying out some options)

Your psu has a 5 year manufacturer warranty so it is excellent. modular shmodular it really doesn't matter. if u want to spend money on cables then go right ahead if u dont then non modular may be the right choice for you.

cpu/gpu/ram i wont comment on because i am not up to date with that stuff.
I really like this guide and although the prices are all in american i feel that the information may be worth looking over as I've always found it to be reliable. http://www.techspot.com/guides/buying/

#22 Picking between computers. Need help! in Hardware

there are tons of videos on the internet on how to build a computer. The most challenging part is (for me atleast) plugging everything into the psu. i would definitely recommend spending time to make sure all your wires are nice and tucked in for better air circulation and easy access in the future if you want to add a hard drive or something.
I really like this guide. http://www.techspot.com/guides/buying/
doesnt show you how to build it but it does show you what parts to buy in this day and age at different price ranges.
at 1388 american dollars for the core system the guide suggest you include a SSD in your build.
I would definitely get an SSD if i was spending as much as you were planning to spend on those 2 systems. (google currency conversion tells me it is around 13-15 hundred dollars.) well tbh i dont even know how much parts cost in Europe but i'm assuming its not so different from here

#347 Fat shaming in Off Topic

if someone isn't looking for advice don't give them any.
assess your own lifestyle choices/personality. The best you can do is lead by example.
if you want to make impact on someones life you have to show them love. You won't be helping them choose what you believe they prefer by invalidating them and their choices.

Edit: spacing

thanks for reminding me. i just realized my game was on.

that is not an excuse i have 3200 hours on record since july 27th 2009 and id guess atleast a thousand of those hours i got from idle tf2 (idle servers or i left the game open).
my good friend mustardoverlord has 14k hours on record and i seriously doubt he has played for longer than 5 min in his whole life.
