HildrethSpaceCadetIt also has to do with the mentality of US sports fans in relation to soccer. It is basically treated as a win/win situation no matter what happens.
If the USMNT wins, people become "big fans" and say stupid shit about how the USA can beat other countries in soccer when we don't really care about it or that its not our #1 sport.
If the USMNT losses, those same people say that "soccer sucks" or "Its only soccer, we don't care about that sport here".
A country like USA is so different culturally when it comes to football. Looking over your team is a pretty average, still calling up Jonathon Spector, without Donovan / Dempsey I don't see where the quality is in that team - Though granted losing to Trinidad and Tobago probably should not happen.
For England it's different, football is part of our national identity as the inventors of Association Football, losing to Iceland was deemed a national embarrassment, even losing to USA in 1950 World Cup was deemed the worst result in English football history (prior to last year), our media hammers our National team on a consistent basis. I mean we managed to win our group as expected and the team gets criticized for not winning the group with style, there is very little pleasing our media and as a result, our national expectations are raised to an unprecedented level every year.
Perhaps paradoxically, I think there has also built up a kind of apathy to our national team.
We witnessed the golden generation do absolutely fuck all despite having maybe 4 or 5 world class players, and every team since has been pretty abject and dull. By now I think we're used to disappointment and we're starting to not care. I think the criticism is an almost loathing- we mock and chastise our team because of years of disappointment rather than just the current crop (even though our current crop is pap compared to previous)
...about the national team. We fucking love club football of course.

For scout I think players like Puoskari who track are sort of fancy.
Although funs has pretty flashy highlights.

People polarise it too much.
Players stop playing for a vast range of reasons. People get bored of games after a lot of play time or when no more new challenges are available. Repetition is dull. Not everyone views TF2 as a lifelong hobby like you would a sport.

I sort of do get the feeling there's a fuckload of stuff in this update. Them referring to it as 'mammoth' there is sort of encouraging I guess.
On one hand I think the wait between updates is more than the community should have to endure, especially given the poor quality of the last update. On the flip side, I think they may be putting the right kind of effort into this update.
Now they've said imminent, surely it has to be within the next month?
