finished a 5 hour long lab experiment at uni and my lab partner is absolutely impossible to work with, he limits himself to the easiest first part of the experiment and acted extremely territorial about it so that he can spend the remaining harder parts of the experiment sitting down on his mobile in a corner, he then comes back to berate me for doing things wrong when I was infact doing them correctly, delaying our assignment and then annoying the fuck out of me by not doing the things I ask him to do because in his eyes I'm doing everything wrong even after I double check with our professor.
In the end we actually finish the experiment and the professor went to comment about each of the groups' results, when ours comes up she points out that a small but common error might've happened at the end but it was completely insignificant because we got the expected end results anyways and this asshole just gets all smug and blames me for it.

expected reaction from someone who downloads hacks that claim to be undetectable by VAC and assumed that this means there's no way an AC team can detect what a program can't, I'm fairly sure ETF2L's AC Team as well as several other leagues' can detect even the most subtle hacks and illegal scripts after about 10 years of dealing with this and then passing down the stuff they've dealt with

I would be lying if I said this was the last time we saw him and I would also be lying that it did not get wierder

reminder that MM only came to exist after a bunch of competitive players had to group together and branch out to Valve to ask them for some kind of support (after which was attempted before for years).

on the upside Valve actually listened and did something
the downside is that they completely disregarded a whole decade of the community figuring out what and what isn't balanced and fun and the way they handled it was so heavily disorganised and rushed that people made jokes that there were only 2 developers working on that project and one of them was Valve's janitor

so in the end we ended up with forced directx 9 despite no attempts in fixing the horrible optimisation issues, no class limits, no whitelist, 2 hour long queue time, dumbass rollout prevention freeze time, first-to-2 rounds, viewmodel_fov 54, forced r_drawviewmodels 1, foundry/2fort/turbine/vanguard in the map rotation, pointless ranks that had no meaning other than jerking people off, a barrage of hackers pouring in like an avalanche with zero control and a clusterfuck of a mess that still had abhorrent glitches

In all honesty I don't exactly blame them since they atleast tried instead of giving more radio silence but you can't say "oh we're the ones not listening" and deny that this didn't disapoint you
