#40 Game Sense Monthly Mayhem in News
Snazeveryone just complains about start times, match days, holidays, "why sunday, why not Monday", then its on monday and people say "why monday, why not sunday". There is no pleasing the COMP TF2 scene.trippaAlso the Monday one would never have gotten many signups because MOST teams have people that play highlander, which always has matches exactly when the razed matches are supposed to start.

no shit. And that will be exactly why third party TF2 tournaments never last. No teams sign up, no one supports the companies that try and support us. everyone just complains about start times, match days, holidays, "why sunday, why not Monday", then its on monday and people say "why monday, why not sunday". There is no pleasing the COMP TF2 scene.

Here's a link to sign up for NA teams: https://arena.razerzone.com/tournaments/details/660/255Bna255D-game-sense---monday-madness25212521

Euro Game Sense already has two full teams signed up.
Euro CS:GO and NA CS:GO both have teams signed up as well.

NA TF2 is the only group with no teams signed up.

Registration ends in 5 days.

#5 TF2 item betting similar to CS:GO skin arena? in Off Topic

Oh thanks, that seems to be the place.

I'm not really looking to bet on matches (already do that) But rather raffles where you enter items, and the raffle is open for a short 30 second window for people to enter. odds are based off of your item value commitment.

Is there a website equivalent to skins arena for TF2? I've come across http://backpack.tf/lotto but I'm not sure if it is trusted.

#599 GXL LAN 2015 in News
EvrewsIs this lan getting casted?

I haven't seen anyone from tf.TV or gxl say that it is being casted, so I don't think it is.

KevinIsPwnSnazAll I have to say to that then, is that it's lunacy.it's also why you didn't pay 150 bucks for a jersey instead of 100, so ya know...

I would have paid $150 if it meant that the fundraiser could be ran properly.
Fundraisers have to be self sufficient. I would assume if I'm paying $100 for a jersey in a fundraiser, that the jersey cost $35 to produce, $15 to ship, volunteer time to handle and $50 of that money goes to the actual fundraiser.

So ya know...

#1 [Discussion] teamfortresstv annual fundraiser? in TF2 General Discussion

If we donate money to send teams to other countries to play tf2, and we pay for team merch, and we pay for players to stream, why has there not been an annual fundraiser for tf.TV production?

I listen to a local radio that rejects all advertising and instead does annual fundraisers. They have perks such as you're request hour, entered in draws, public thankyou etc. But ultimately it is just an opportunity to listen to aweosme music not in top 40 without commercials.

Is a tf.TV fundraiser that farfetched? An annual 2 day event, where there are B ball games, ultiduo, play with the stars, YouTube games, raffles, surfing, all our favorite things and we donate to keep production going.

So hold on a sec...

I can't remember how much I donated for a jersey towards the i55 fundraiser, but to clarify... Let's say I spent $100 for a jersey, that FULL $100 went towards sending ascent to Europe, and there was $0 left for the production/shipping/handling of the actual jersey? So someone somewhere (you and mana?) Are paying out of pocket to fulfill perks?

yuki there will always be a few asshats that are unappreciative of the volunteer work people like you do for the community

Thanks for that.

I value this community immensely. I've donated to i49, i52, i55, last two ToTH's, Ghos7yama, donated to sal to pay back for i46, bought froyo shirts, twitch subscriptions, twitch donations. I value this community, but it's irritating when promised perks, or shirts, or jerseys, or stickers, or demo reviews, etc etc. and it takes numerous emails and constant attempts at communication.

I understand it is community ran and organized, and perks are dispersed on volunteer time. Maybe the volunteers need to take smaller bites at what kind of volunteer time they can afford. Or at least establishing some sort of communication between donators & distributors so we (donators) don't feel like we've been forgotten about.

I've seen numerous posts on the forums over the years and from TF2 buddies who never received their shirt/poster/sticker/demo review/hoodie/whatever, and it's a slight deterrent from donating again with the expectations of receiving a perk.

It's not just froyo. Try buying anything as a fundraiser from this community...
