Deathadder middle click feels "soft"

I recently ordered a new Deathadder after my last one's scroll wheel started fucking up after about 2 years of service. When I got the new one, I was amazed at how more responsive every single mouse button felt compared to the old one, not just the scroll wheel. The scroll wheel on my old deathadder is very much and has a very unresponsive click feel to it compared to the new one, so it could just be a matter of wear and tear.
