I'm glad this thread got bumped. This is really encouraging. My doctor won't diagnose me with anything but teenage hormones and all that stuff, but I've been on a downhill slide for about a year now, but about 4 months ago I decided I was tired of slowly losing emotion and caring less and less and feeling unstable and I got help.

I got a teacher I trusted to help me talk to my mom, because I was scared she would freak when I told her I didn't really feel anything anymore. The next day we were in the doctor's office getting medicine and figuring stuff out. Though I'm in the trial and error stage, the meds help a lot in just stabilizing my mood.

I did kinda get absorbed into video games like in earlier posts to help me cope, but in this case, playing tons of video games does really help me cope with my depression. Finding this thread and the encouragement from it really helps.

Kos's posts bring happiness into my heart.
Sheepy's posts? Great sadness. Sheepy, I know you said you aren't blaming your inflammatory posts on your problems, but bringing up those problems makes it sound like you're using them as an excuse anyway. I really think the wisest way to stop this crap is to just lay off the forums for awhile, and maybe drop a quality post after that hiatus and see how it goes. But this thread isn't going to help.

The warning that the season might not happen even though it has been announced happens every season. Anybody who doesn't know this? Don't freak out.

I feel like I have something like this sometimes, but it's mostly lucid dreams and sleepwalking. After either one of those episodes I wake up and freak out.
My girlfriend definitely has sleep paralysis though. She feels like her bed is in an earthquake and she is trapped there and can't move. When she first starting having them, she thought it was a ghost or demon trapping her and trying to attack her. Then I told her about my lucid dreams, and she figured that was it.

When it happened three or four nights in a row, she decided it was sleep paralysis following late-night research after the 4th episode. She doesn't freak out or scream during/following an episode anymore, she just kinda rides it out. She thinks her's is linked to stress, because it only seems to happen when she's really stressed out, which is often.

I think hearing about other people's issues might help, so I'll show her this thread. I might not have the same problem, but I feel for everybody with any kind of sleep issues.
