#21 Ascent edges out FROYO, advances to grand finals in News
mQuazzyMore proof i55 will be the best tf2lan yet in terms of competition
im gonna argue that time has passed/may not ever come back

lets look at iseries lans

i46 > LG and mixup busting it playing their hearts out and owning vs an epsi squad that was better than the rest of europe but definitely not an allstar lineup

i49 > the roles are reversed as this iteration of epsi was pretty clearly the strongest eu tf2 team ever assembled, they play much more than the past year and (along with broder who also owned) dominate some banny team that had shrugger and cyzer on it (which still won back to back lans here) australians show up and are good but not great

i52 > froyo is much more talented and obviously cares way more than anybody else barring warhuryeah who managed to have more hrs in tf2/2 weeks than all of mixup combined leading up to lan weekend. oz players show up again and get stabbed to death by harbleu in probably the worst way to lose ive ever seen but still play some lights out tf2

i55 > maybe ascent really wants to win? froyo is out to lunch with a haphazard roster while reason bides their time before playing the first lan kaidus has a chance at winning

maybe im not interpeting comptetitve as "dunnno who will win" versus "highest level of tf2 played"

I think you're not allowing for the fact that the overall skill level has increased over this time though, as well as the fact that Reason look as strong as i49 Epsi and could well contest the "best team ever eu" title dependent on performance at lan. Froyo have only changed one player too and will go keen before i55, they hate losing and won't allow it to happen on lan easily.

Considering the fact that badlands was a roll in 4G's favor until they started having issues, I don't think this is proof of anything other than the fact that LAN finals are the best.

Not that Ascent didn't play well, they did, its just that its hard to say whether or not they would've won 3 rounds in a row had 4G been using their actual roster.

Doesn't change the fact that they won snakewater, as well as sunshine in the regular season. I'd say i55 looks like the most competitive i-LAN ever.

#1 Best Guides For Learning Competitive TF2? in Projects

I'm currently working with some other people to create a compilation website of the best guides spanning all areas of TF2.

If you've ever seen a good guide to getting into competitive TF2, or the different types, or guides on how to play a certain class in 6v6 / 9v9 then please post them below!
It will be linking to guides, not reuploading content, so content creators get all the credit and more publicity! Please help me find the best guides out there for competitive TF2. How did you learn?

ubersexuals and suave etc were miles ahead of the other people in prem, it wasn't really close between them for those 3 seasons

universeIm not really familiar with older european players, was retshock the predecessor to brego?

retshock played on the old israeli teams with people like matnun, royze, fadestep etc back in the glory days of k1ck and crackclan. They were anywhere from 1st to 3rd place and were excellent players, especially considering they all play with 80+ ping. He then played for cc// with ipz and admirable in that version before brego joined yeah.

retshock has run away from the army and is now living as a fugitive in ipz's basement

he can play demo for only one season but must never go outside or risk being caught by the IDF who are scouring the fields of germany like something from the Great Escape

smzi sees this as the perfect opportunity to return to tf2 and win s22

Is seagull playing demo then or is someone else coming out of the woodwork? Return of B R E G O? They're still missing a player unless sonnyb is actually playing lol.

Very very interesting if Reason / nerdRage and TLR stick around too. Players in this team have really been uncontested at the top since cc// days iirc. Now it's more of a battle. This could be the best season of prem ever.

#18 Asking about playstyle of these prem/invite scouts in Q/A Help

I think it's helpful to divide the scout roles so that the scouts know whether their responsibility is to pocket or play flank in any given situation but the more you play the more flexibility you can build into your game. Similar to pocketing and roaming, if there is a job to fulfil and you're in the better position to do it but it's not "your job" you should do it anyway and communicate to your team that the other person then has to fill your role.
