#24 nameLess qualifies for DreamHack Summer in News

smzi doesn't shit talk people imo he's just quite plain when he gives his opinions

Also it's ridiculous to give current teams credit for "trying hard" but still not beating old retired players. That's like giving them a participation award, it's patronising. If they can't beat people who had to reinstall the game to compete then they deserve a bit of shit talk and literally are not as good as them.

#7 Is there going to be an i58 fundraiser event? in LAN Discussion

There are currently plans for three fundraisers afaik. There is no fundraiser for the prizepool planned, and the prizepool is managed by Multiplay rather than by us.

#3 Is there going to be an i58 fundraiser event? in LAN Discussion

There will be no team fundraisers run officially through teamfortresstv, though some teams have begun plans to fundraise independently for travel. These normally begin around June.

A retrospective look at i55 nerdRage

I'll be posting opinion pieces every Friday for The Spire, starting with this one on i55 nerdRage's tournament run and how it fits into the larger context of their record.

#17 Granada Gaming 2016 [EUROPEAN LAN] in LAN Discussion

If there are only PCs for official matches that's fine too for a fun lan, just a bit of a pickle for a highly competitive one.

bfaalizeegood news people!!! Granada Gaming told me they are providing the PC's during the tournament (and they didnt tell me any price, so I assume these are included with your ticket)

You need a bit more information than this. Specifications of the PC, max number of PCs available, confirmation that there's no extra price, whether a monitor is included, etc. Sounds promising though.

#28 How can we bring more people into TF2? in TF2 General Discussion

You're forgetting that Valve put big money and in-game shit into these titles after they had already built a booming comp scene. CS and Dota were already far bigger scenes than TF2 is competitively before GO and dota2 were even released. The issue is not that we're being denied our rightful share of a paycheck or w/e, we have much more fundamental problems.

#26 How can we bring more people into TF2? in TF2 General Discussion

Your basic premise is wrong in the OP. We have easily enough casual players to build a thriving comp scene, it's all about converting the existing player base. Good luck doing that though, it's been the goal for years.

I'd be interested if PCs are there, pretty difficult without that.

#12 3rd DreamHack Summer Qualifier by TFCups in News

Apologies, made a mistake and put dd+5abs in, instead of PC Master Race. They do have the guaranteed spot due to their top4 placing in the previous tournament.

#6 "170 professional TF2 players VAC'd" -PCGAMER in TF2 General Discussion

Prestigious in Bilbert's context is 100% warranted sarcasm. UGC is the lowest level league we have in the scene, the furthest you could get from professional players. This is hilariously awful journalism.

#124 Lmaobox premium detected. in TF2 General Discussion

People used to use the claim that "hackers wouldn't dare play on ESEA client, that's why there are 0 bans for TF2". There was, to my knowledge, no counter-evidence to that argument up until this point.

The AC client for ESEA is a huge selling point for the league in CS, along with the LAN.
