JynxiiDo people not realise, that after all these years, that maybe the growth of the game isnt what's important to us anymore? I want to be able to play fun games and not have to worry about having zero medics or a player 3 divisions below the average on my team. We shouldnt be alienating the existing population just so we can get the spy main from a trade server to start playing competitive. Playing on faceit is just too much of a pain for it to be worth it, even with the hopes of 'growth' for the game.
i mean, people quit the game daily because old game. i understand where you're coming from with this and i somewhat agree that growth isn't a top priority for tf2 like it is in other games, but if you completely disregard it to maintain an existing system without consideration for newbies your game is gonna die out much faster... newbies who really want to play competitive and are willing to live through a complicated integration process to start playing the real game (assuming we have nothing to accomodate newbies and favor growth) are gonna have a harder time learning it if all they can play in are higher-level divisions.
there's a middle ground somewhere, and personally i think mixchamp assumed that role quite properly. it's dead though...

i picked up koft as a sub in s27, he wasn't even supposed to play but we had him subbing last minute in 1 or 2 matches. plus let's be real we all know s27 win/loss ratios did not really count except for higher teams that never had to play dead csgo/newbie mix teams. you can't use forfeits as an argument against koft. my team's record last season is saturated, and I choose to disregard it.
i have my opinion of boxcar's team and her players but we gotta stay true to the facts. he was subbing that season.
koft is good. enough to play in playoffs? i think so.

Epic Game devs are knowledgeable in their flagship Unreal Engine, they can produce content fast because of their experience using it and the tools they've created to make that process easier
i think valve devs know how their source engine works, what's the relevance of that in adding more content

I have nothing against the guy (I didn't even know he existed before someone posted about him here) and I'm not saying that we're normally the most toxic community on the planet or some shit, but his experience is very very far from the average
