#1 Freezing/crashing every ten minutes or so into TF2 in Q/A Help

Ever since I installed my new graphics card (AMD Radeon HD 7750) and the appropriate drivers a few days ago, TF2 has been freezing around 5-10 mintues within starting the game. The screen freezes and the audio loops until I either force quit TF2 if possible, or reboot my computer entirely if Windows Task Manager won't pop up, which it sometimes doesn't do in these freezes. I've already tried searching for updated drivers (I'm almost certain that these are the most recent ones), verifying my game cache, and setting mat_queue_mode to 2. These freezes have only been happening to TF2, no other games (granted I haven't tried any other Source engine game).

edit: I'd rather not have to reinstall TF2 considering my internet is atrocious, I just want it to be a last resort.

edit again because I'm dumb: If you can't tell already, I'm terrible with computers. Let me know what other info you need.

I don't main any class in particular any more, so I'm mostly interested in being an all-class backup. I'm down for playing any class whenever I'm needed, although my schedule might be a bit more tight in these next few months.
