I have used the same hud for like 5 years and i RLY dont want to change it. If you need to splice it with another hud to fix it i only care about the Health/Uber/Ammo meter, and the HUD crosshair.
Whoever fixes it can have anything they want from my backpack baring my Bill's hat.

Give the crossbow a small burst of HP (like 30) and a heal over time. That way it can sill be used to save cratering players and heal up for pushes while not having any real effect in the middle of fights.
Also REMOVE THE GOD DAMN SCOUT SPEED FFS.

While i am in favor of nerfing the weapon i am not in favor of outright banning it. Removing arrows at this stage would be yet another buff for the scout (soldiers heavily benefit from the crossbow). Maybe if the medic speed buff got reverted but at this stage i am against anything that buffs scout and nerfs soldier either directly or indirectly.

Needles where barely viable when they were the only option. The thing shoots snail speed projectiles with ridiculous spread.
IMHO the crossbow needs the following nerfs
Slower reload speed
No uber gain from arrows
No passive reload

This fixes several issues.
You can't use it to solo tank a heavy for 500 HP.
You have to be more conservative instead of using them as your primary healing during a fight.
An actual choice between protection (needles) and utility (crossbow).

Needles need the following buffs.
faster projectile speed
lower spread

These buffs wouldnt need to be big to make a huge difference in how useful they are. As it currently stands the crossbow is also better at defence than the needles because it is actually consistent against players with more than 3 functioning brain cells or forming a pact with Tzeentch to hit some against a scout that can actually strafe in the open.

This buff was unnecessary and made med more forgiving and was just as much a buff to the scout (a class that was already borderline OP) as it was to the medic.

make it 50 and you got a deal

Game is a turd and does physics and wire mesh on the CPU while leaving the GPU completely unused. You can run this game at 4k with 8x AA and it wouldnt make a bit of difference to your FPS. The only way for valve to fix this would be to port the game over to a newer engine which for some reason they are stubbornly not doing despite the fact it would probably make things easier for them in the long run.
