2639 frames 15.974 seconds 165.21 fps ( 6.05 ms/f) 9.980 fps variability
After:
2639 frames 15.156 seconds 174.12 fps ( 5.74 ms/f) 11.632 fps variability

#1 you cant just flick a switch and "optimise." if there were easy optimisations to make, theyve have been done. anything to fix the longstanding problems the game has likely requires a lot of rewriting or even an engine rewrite
The game needs a codebase reset. This isn't new information. If they are to lazy and cheap to do it they can fuck off and stop restricting settings.
#2 class limits arent a necessity, and they're arguably a lazy fix (but basically the best option by this point i'd agree)
If you want the classes to stay unique and keep the generalist specialist design they are needed.

#4 the damage has been done tbh. they could bring back quickplay but community servers will take years to recover
one of the biggest mistakes the devs made TBH
#5 see, i dont give a shit about this. all i'd want is the ability to change teams when i can, but honestly if i could never play against friends in a pub that doesnt sound fun to me.

Name a single weapon that is broken without random 3x dmg.
#7 would be nice but meh, people who are just playing for drops instead of playing a gamemode they enjoy doesnt seem healthy long-term.
It's a jump starter to get people going.

#1 Stop restricting graphics options you cunts. optimize your game so it doesnt run like dogshit without a config if you insist on forcing settings. If you are going to force settings force them across the ENTIRE game not just comp (only if you fix your game running like a paraplegic).
#2 class limits are a NECESSITY. GET THIS THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULLS.
#3 nerf the quickfix so that it doesn't ruin the entire game without a whitelist
#4 Bring back the comunity servers and valve pubs. Quick Play is by far the most cancerous thing ever added to this game.
#5 STOP AUTO BALANCING ME AND MY FRIEND TO DIFFERENT TEAMS YOU FUCKS. I DON'T EVEN PLAY PUBS WITH OTHER COMP PLAYERS. WHY AM I BEING PUNISHED FOR BEING GOOD AT THE GAME?
#6 Default random crits and spread to OFF.
#7 Add rewards for comp matchmaking. Some sort of lower grade crate that can be opened without keys would be great.

zenmodeI occasionally launch steam using "-console -no-browser" in my target (for that sweet, sweet FPS boost on my potato computer).
Launching this way appears to have the bonus side effect of keeping the abomination that is the new friends UI from appearing. Instead, you get the good old-fashioned one we're all used to.
The method i posted earlier lets you keep your browser.

disable start on boot in steam
copy Steam icon
