which means we'll see a nuke remake soon! but for now reserve in peace
Their lack of standard doesn't really offend me though, I'm not calling for her to be sacked because her views are different, he's free to share it to back up his view. I just thought the article was poorly written.
I agree there's some hypocrisy to my statements though, you're right on that.
So let's talk about cars then
GentlemanJonSchweppesif you can't take jokes like these and think they're crossing lines then don't want British comedy showsSchweppesAm I reading a mainstream newspaper or a shitty whiny blog? I honestly can't tell.Don't read the Guardian?
He specifically linked it to show as to why people think he should be sacked. It's not that the woman's views offend me because that would be ironic, I just think it's really poorly written and I thought stuff like this wouldn't end up being related to a big newspaper but rather someone's blog.
nopeSchweppesThe guardian is a great and politically unbiased newspaper.Have you never read an opinion piece before? They're kind of by definition biased. It doesn't mean that the views espoused necessarily are that of the newspaper
First paragraph: "Jeremy Clarkson, voice of the people/mega-sized tool (delete as appropriate to you, dear reader). It’s really great to have Jeremy fighting in our corner for that under-represented demographic, the self-entitled, middle-aged white man who just wants to beat up on those in a less privileged position than him – from ethnic minorities to a producer who, we are now told, failed to provide Jezza’s din-dins on demand."
Am I reading a mainstream newspaper or a shitty whiny blog? I honestly can't tell.
"Honestly, the rest of the TV schedule is just overrun with middle-aged women talking about feminism and vaginas, 24/7. To get rid of Jeremy is just part and parcel of the feminazi thought-police tactics that are strangling this country, and it’s unacceptable."
I know it's supposed to be sarcasm but lmao
Yes, I just thought their standards were higher for what they actually publish, even if it's just the opinion of the writer.
EricI don't watch Top Gun.
EricTop Gun is indeed a British comedy show.

Also for clarity about what this argument actually is:
Jeremy did NOT punch the guy, he shoved him and raised his fist. Nobody is saying he didn't, and yet that isn't the point of him not returning to the BBC or this entire discussion. They've been looking for months for an excuse to sack him after all the complaints they get. Most of them are ridiculous too, people complained when he compared an ugly car to someone who got defaced with a garden tool. Over 300 people thought that offended them for some reason. If that's worth sacking over I don't know why they kept the Jimmy Savile case secret. Another detail: Jeremy reported the incident himself essentially "turning himself in". It's the way they're handling the situation, scrapping the program and making millions of loss, instead of handling it internally, that's pissing people off. In my opinion, rightly so.
yo if you people want to be white knights social justice leftist warriors go back to tumblr and go trigger yourself over something
