Used to play on a laptop with a first generation i3 processor, with 2gb of ram, and really crappy comcast wifi. Whenever my ping would spike, i'd drop to about sub 15fps. I didn't have a mousepad and had a generic dell mouse, and used the bulit-in mic.

I'm here now, with little to no upgrade, on a desktop that performs a bit better, still unable to get over 60 fps most of the time.
