16000 fragments and counting... only ~1/6 done. This is probably because my cat stepped on my power strip on/off switch...
last defrag, couple weeks ago was only 25, this is probably the problem occuring. Will let you guys know

My fps stutters from 120 (my fps max) to around 5-15 every couple of seconds. A couple weeks ago I was getting a steady 300-400fps

I've tried disabling steam community, changing dx level from 81 to 91, changing mat_queue_mode from -1 to 2 and vice versa and nothing has helped.

I play fullscreen 1440x900.
My computer specs:
i7-2600 (3.4 GHz)
i think 12 GB of ram (windows says 6 but i installed a new stick myself a long while back, before problem)
Radeon HD 6870

Anyone know why this may be happening? I checked the other threads and all I saw were suggestions to download gamebooster or change something in the cfg, which ive tried.

I'm currently updating my graphics card driver + defragging hard drive, but those shouldnt be the causes.

i had a very similar problem and i'm really hoping this will solve it for you

when this happened to me, it was a usb conflicting driver error. it started happening when i got a new mouse (i think anyway). I switched around which ports my keyboard and mouse were plugged into and uninstalled / reinstalled all my mouse / keyboard drivers using Device Manager and it fixed it.

edit: also, dont take your computer to geeksquad / best buy. they will (try to) scam you (happened to me and my mom)

Hey, I'm reminixe and I play demoman & roamer

I can play demoman at a mid-high open level, roamer at a mid-level. I have played one season (half backup/half starting on vibe/ohana, respectively) in open as demoman, playing many scrims. I'd like to try roamer out this season, but I'd also be fine with playing demoman.

haven't played it but im a tad concerned with some small things:

a) there seems to be a lot of wide flat spaces, such as the edges of mid and the grass on 2
b) looks like there are a ton of entrances to 2nd... 7 doors? (and it also looks almost all of them can fit in one fov)

What is going to be your stance / approach to the ALMIGHTY LAN EXPERIENCE?

Might wanna add a bullet clip ramp over the entire thing so you cant set a sticky trap in the rails... although itd be simple to check for, it might be rather hidden and a possible pain.

Nice detailing so far, looks really nice and un-cluttered (clutter = no)

Well this makes me cringe as i type, but there are two:

1) A good friend from grades 1-6 came up to me outside the tennis courts at my school (match that day against his team) and he said, "Hey, *name*, whats up?" and i couldn't remember his name so i literally just said, "Heyyyyy.... Youuuuu........." and then he didn't even fucking say anything. Just turned and looked away and leaned on a fence. My sister began laughing too, making it worse, and stumbled away. That was probably the worst. Haven't talked to him since.

2) After a tennis match (apparently i just become socially handicapped after tennis), this girl (who i just played) walks up while i was walking with my friends and says hi, apparently in a flirtatious way. I didn't hear and kept walking with my friends, as it was dead silent for like 10 seconds. Then my friend asks why i didnt talk to her and tells me she said hi, and i just cringed and still think about the voluminous amounts of my mom's spaghetti that had been excreted from my pocket on that day.
