play ui/hitsound.wav
into console to check if it is detected at all, it might tell you that the .wav is at a wrong rate - you need it to be 44,100 kHz, 16 bit and in a Mono channel]
I do play ui/hitsound.wav in console, it plays the right hitsound. But when I actually use it in-game it plays a weird, high-pitched hitsound. Same with my killsound
(I don't know how quoting works, sorry for my mistake)
