Cro0Ked_snip

I don't have that. I installed Ubuntu 12.04 with Wubi, all I have is "wubildr", which apparently has a problem; on startup it says "error wubildr" 2 times and then "error: prefix not set.

Here are the contents of wubildr.cfg:

set show_panic_message=true

if search -s -f -n /ubuntu/disks/root.disk; then
if loopback loop0 /ubuntu/disks/root.disk; then
set root=(loop0)
if [ -e /boot/grub/grub.cfg ]; then
if configfile /boot/grub/grub.cfg; then
set show_panic_message=false
fi
elif [ -e /grub/grub.cfg ]; then
if configfile /grub/grub.cfg; then
set show_panic_message=false
fi
else
if search -s -f -n /ubuntu/install/wubildr-disk.cfg; then
if configfile /ubuntu/install/wubildr-disk.cfg; then
set show_panic_message=false
fi
fi
fi

fi

if [ ${show_panic_message} = true ]; then
if search -s -f -n /ubuntu/install/boot/grub/grub.cfg; then
if configfile /ubuntu/install/boot/grub/grub.cfg; then
set show_panic_message=false
fi
else
if search -s -f -n /grub.cfg; then
if configfile /grub.cfg; then
set show_panic_message=false
fi

if [ ${show_panic_message} = true ]; then
echo "It is not possible to boot from the Ubuntu image."
echo "Please verify that the Ubuntu installation was not removed."
echo "If that is not the case, please check that the Windows filesystem"
echo "is not corrupted: reboot into Windows and run: chkdsk /r"
echo "Then try again."

r4pturePizzaAnyone else getting the problem of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS not booting and just leading you to the GRUB cmd prompt?
I've had this problem before. This along with a couple massive driver fuckups drove me to Linux Mint. GL.

Probably will end up doing that too... does it still work?

Cro0Ked_on a semi-related note if anyone finds themselves enjoying linux and would like some advice/pointers feel free to hit me up, i work with linux for a living and am always happy to provide guidance to new users :D

Do you have any idea why Ubuntu 12.04 (secondary OS, alongside win7 64) won't boot and only shows a black screen? It's not the first launch, the first launch was fine. It shows an error message with "prefix not set", then would load a black screen but if I mash buttons I can get it into GRUB sometimes. All my friends who know quite a bit about Linux don't know what to do. I'd post screenshots but the OS doesn't actually load so that's not an option. I Might take some with my phone if you need more info. Thanks.

#6 Get on my level in Off Topic

I swear, once my friend was installing something through steam and the "Time remaining" counter stayed at "5 years and 22 days" or something along those lines for about 10 minutes.

The fact that that would even show up is silly.

HutchThe absolute best thing a skier or boarder can hear about a winter storm is that it is "life-threatening"

I will be on the slopes for the next week straight

There's a pretty big storm coming here too, shame it's gonna fall right in midterms week. I still haven't skied this year, damnit.

I have a few that are pretty cool. Not sure I'm gonna post all of them, though.
Edit, dropbox is broken, gonna upload later.

vanillaIt'd also be sweet if you knew what you were doing so you could tell me when i'm bad :P

In CS, pretty much the only skill that impacts the game is aim(there was Bhopping, but not anymore). You can judge your skill by asking yourself if you hit the guy or not. It's a very one-dimensional game, from what I've seen/played of it. A bit of positioning, but once you know the map that isn't really an issue anymore.
