#41 Swatting- who to blame? in Off Topic

what more can u expect from a bunch of sweaty nerds honestly. and when someone does get shot or something tragic happens, that nerd who called the raid is going to be the one that the parents sue not the swat officers...

#1 Windows 8 dilemma in Hardware

Hey i was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue with my mom's laptop. I'm going to keep looking for answers online but i'll leave this here in case anyone can help.

Basically, on boot before login, the screen turns grayish black which indicates that the monitor and videocard are working also concluding that its probably a software issue. I tried doing a pc refresh and a restore point but the problem is that her microsoft account password isn't working.

Not sure what happened to the registry files but obviously something fucked up and her password doesn't work, i tried changing it on my computer but its def just the laptops issue.

My last resort would be to reset it but she isn't too keen to do that. It's a vicious cycle where I want to perform certain things on the laptop requiring her administrator account that isn't working, and to create a local account to use instead requires the laptop to boot up.

Thanks if anyone helps out

MattCVi'm a fucking idiot

shut up

Forty-TwoIn my opinion, shit talking falls into the category if distasteful and childish behavior. I dislike that people do it and would prefer a scene without it, but it's not a big deal. Rather like someone loudly belching in public - rude, but nothing worse than that.

Physically harassing players falls into the category of 'sabotaging the event', though obviously in a relatively small way. With shit talk I'd like to see things set up so that it won't happen, due to its distasteful nature, but it's not a big deal. With physically interfering with gamers' playing, it's actually important and should be a priority to make sure it doesn't happen.

in what sport do people not shit talk? It's perfectly normal and if you're so thin-skinned that you're going to take offense to people calling you shit, then stop playing competitively and go pub or some shit

So they can scream at eplsion "your so fucking bad" and we are expected to cheer when they win a round...

When there was a airshot or when harbleu went ham, the majority of people cheered.

shit-talk (for the most part) isn't meant to be taken seriously unless it's obvious that the person is dumb and actually means it. With all the hype and adrenaline at a lan, it's common for there to be shit-talk on both ends. anyway lets stop bumping this thread please

#32 Who is leaving? in TF2 General Discussion

i don't think you get "nothing" in return. For a lot of people, just going to lan in itself or competing at the highest level is satisfying. I doubt anyone plays this game for the money.

That's fucking aggravating that some drunk would insult and distract seagull during his MATCH. Seagull is genuinely one of the nicest people in invite fuck that.

can you draw a basic representation of what you mean? I understand it's a pretty barren place for a large object to be. it didn't have light correct? So it probably wasn't a car, and if it was, its lights were out which is illegal. How dark was it? If you were feeling uneasy/nervous before you saw it, it might have been your imagination. was it peripheral vision?

ok as for your question i don't think you should be paranoid when going out for a nightly run. If you are in a bad area where crime is rampant, maybe more so. I'd be cautious, but not so cautious that you scare yourself
