#10 Weapon Indication in Q/A Help

Like shlaner said, the easiest way to deal with this is just memorizing ammo for each weapon and checking often. However what I do is have viewmodels off for only certain weapons.

bind 1 "slot1;cl_interp_ratio 1;sensitivity 0.7;viewmodel_fov 0"
//No viewmodel for scatter
bind 2 "slot2;cl_interp_ratio 1;sensitivity 0.7;viewmodel_fov 90"
bind 3 "slot3;cl_interp_ratio 1;sensitivity 0.7;viewmodel_fov 90"
//Viewmodel for pistol and basher

This is a really simple script I use. To change them from on and off "0" is off and "90" is on. You can change your "90" accordingly to your viewmodel_fov. Hope this helps~

#11 Forum chatbox? in Site Discussion

Sounds like a neat idea. But my worries would be the same as any, if the chatbox will actually be used for its intended purposes (Questions, hardware help, etc...) Or will it just be used for immature rants, spams of advertisement, etc..

#1 The Future Of Competitive Team Fortress 2 in TF2 General Discussion

I am completely unsure if someone has made a thread similar to this, and I was curious to hear some of your opinions.

Where do you think of the future of Team Fortress 2 competitive? How long will it be popular? And how about for Team Fortress 2 as a whole?

I talked a bit with ipz from crack clan and we agreed that in Team Fortress 2, there was no reason to stop playing it. It has good graphics, easy to learn, and on top of all of that, free. We were unsure how much appeal there would continue to be in tf2 comp due to the fact that all it is, is competition. But then again, why are things like NFL so popular if its always the same thing?

tell me what you guys think. It is always nice to have some insight on topics like this.

#5 Newbie mix tourney in TF2 General Discussion

Heyo everyone~

In theory this sounds like a good idea;However, it does have its flaws.

Since I have been hosting the Newbie Mixes for a good amount of time now, my job truely is hard, because I always strive for perfection. When I draft, my goal is to make the teams as balanced as possible. This is often difficult with newer coaches and newbies not following directions properly.

If this sort of tourney were to happen, teams would be very unbalanced making it un-enjoyable for the majority of the participants.

There are bound to be coaches alt's, trolls, etc. In this format, there isn't way to prevent these type of people dropping by. Also, making Newbies pay to play doesn't seem fair, and there are only really myself and speedygeek that take Newbie Mixes full on, making it even more difficult to complete this task

In short, this will most likely won't happen in the near future. However, I have been pondering a bit lately of a Community vs Pros-esque type of format with newbie mixes. It would be a Highlander Team of Newbies vs a 6s team of coaches. How would you guys like that? There will be a thread about in maybe in the future including specifics.

TL;DR There are many flaws in this system, and it will not happen in the future. However, there may be a 9v6 Newbies vs Coaches event in the future.

#8 Newbie Mixes in Events

Hey everyone, I'm back!

Been out on one of my school retreats for the past week, and it's a pleasure coming home to hosting the Mixes. Thanks to the creator of this, we will use it in the future (if I remember that is :P )

Things at the mixes will be same as usual. Things to look forward to are a Newbie Mix website for Newbie Pugs, within the same Newbie Community (Basically a tf2 mix with a lower skill level). However nothing is set in stone, so just be expecting that sometime in the near future.

#54 Lange needs headphones in TF2 General Discussion

Hey Lange~!

Astro A40's are currently one of the best headphones on the market for gaming. I have my in game sound turned down the majority of the time since I have music, and I am still able to distinct if a spy uncloaks or takes fall dmg to find him.

They are also really comfortable. Prior to these headphones, I wore Turtle Beaches Px 21 that broke all the time and were heavy after wearing it for more than an hour. Astro A40's never have felt heavy and are really durable. I even sat on them one time and there were still good.

However, these are priced at $249, and are out of your price range. Was just giving you some good suggestions if you wanted to go the extra mile.
