#37 6vs6 Meta in official matchmaking in TF2 General Discussion

FYI, our team tried double medic but performed MUCH better running only one (on stock medigun on top of that).

I was originally running vaccinator a lot but we came to find that the weapon wasn’t working out nearly as much as the stock. I ran quickfix zero times the whole season.

The only unlocks that we found were absolutely necessary to run that are currently banned are the disciplinary action and machina.

This guy fucks beyond the fuck. If Luca Goers kept him when we went to invite we were top 4 guaranteed.

#80 Harassment in this community: It needs to stop. in TF2 General Discussion

Imagine how v!s has had to make multiple essays worth of posts to defend the awful piece of advice he gave all because I called him out for being dumb a few times(although said very harshly). I only made two posts about him (and one post was literally a quote).

Imagine how something as small as I just said made you react with multiple essays (where you’re stil in the wrong). Now imagine being called slurs, being denied your existence, and being harassed by a community from a game you grew up loving. Every. Single. Fucking. Day. You have no right to talk about “just get thicker skin” you weak garbage.

It doesn’t take much balls just to simply say “I’m sorry that my advice was poor and didn’t understand the situation clearly” and then learn from it. That’s all you literally have to say to leave a better person from this situation. But you won’t. Attitudes like yours are what harm this community and will continue to make this an uninviting place to stay.

God v!s you are actually so fucking dumb and it’s mind boggling how you lack the basic empathy it takes to understand anyone in this situation. One simple thing you can’t seem to get pass through your thick skull is that you’re not allowed to dictate how someone feels. If something bothers someone you don’t tell them “well it shouldn’t.” That is something even a kindergartener can understand. People like you are why people keep getting away like this in our community. You’d rather everyone keep quiet and hope a force with power will MAGICALLY find out what is going on. Some of these people don’t even get the same right as you do to just browse the internet and have fun. Not only is there this OP but multiple members of the community who have to deal with this shit EVERY DAY. Telling them to stay silent and just “ignore it” is ignorant and anyone who thinks that was truly the only way to prevent any of this are probably the type who also stay in silence and just let it go.

Also another thing a kindergartner would understand is when MULTIPLE people are telling you that you’re wrong and you feel the need to defend yourself down to the most minor of points - you’re probably fucking wrong. Of course as we all know, your ego is too big and too precious to even come close to admit you’re “even remotely wrong” about a situation like this.

Nursay It’s gonna be embarrassing watching a community I hold so dear argue amongst themselves justifying why any of this is okay. wtzok I don’t think anyons gonna say this isn’t ok. any normal functioning human being wouldn’t do any of these things this mans just a degenerateVisHonestly this is as much your fault as is his for letting it get to you.

Took three fucking posts lmao.

#2 Harassment in this community: It needs to stop. in TF2 General Discussion

Actually fucking disgusting. It’s a real shame that if this was called out in literally any other community this wouldn’t even be up for debate. It’s gonna be embarrassing watching a community I hold so dear argue amongst themselves justifying why any of this is okay.

If you participate in this community fucking speak up and stop people from doing shit like this. It’s not that difficult. If you ever see one of your friends call people trannies or any fucking slur in the book and just sit in silence you’re part of the fucking problem. It’s a real shame that I can personally not do much for proper justice for you but I will make sure this person never plays on pugchamp again (as if they ever got picked anyway).

#37 best games ever in Other Games

Sonic Adventure 2:Battle is a game I genuinely can't get enough of. I've spent multiple summers playing the hell out of it. I know for most people it's just 'haha chao' but even beyond the Chao I thoroughly enjoyed the mechanics and platforming of the entire game (besides Tails, Eggman's mech stages were done way better.)

Final Fantasy X is something I can play through multiple times and also never get bored. The first 10 hours of that game are done so damn well and it's like I'm reliving an experience every time I go through it. It's mechanics are admittedly pretty simple but I still find myself enjoying it a ton and not ever bothered when I get into an encounter. Playing through the game is like rewatching one of my favorite shows. Also the amount of personal value this game has to me. From my IRL friends to my online ones (I miss you bill) there was so many memories made from my friends talking about and watching each other play the game. Also literally don't forget the invite squad of Luca Goers.

Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland is a game I literally always play from start to finish whenever I feel like playing it and I don't even try to speedrun it. When I was a little kid even now I absolutely love how the game looks. The sprites on the GBA had my favorite sprite art. The mechanics in this game are super fun too. I don't know much about the inner workings of this game but holy hell is it fun just to move around in this game for me. The game feels fast and it has the perfect difficulty curve in a platformer imo. This was the first Kirby game my dad got me and I really was hooked on the pink ball ever since.

Besides TF2 I think Mother 3 is easily my favorite game. I adore the setting, how it looks, by far the best the gameplay has been in a mother game, the story is astonishing, and I have replayed through this game multiple times. Every time I play through the game I still feel like I'm always learning something new. My best buddy in life - his name is James - showed me this game and the mother series and all the neat and hidden things behind it. I knew James since I was in 1st grade. We've practically hung out every weekend of our lives since we met. Sadly he moved away from our hometown in Pennsylvania and moved to Georgia as recently as last year. This really bummed me out for obvious reasons. Him and I were ALWAYS super connected over three games. Pikmin 2, Mother 3, and TF2. We literally spent so much time playing them and talking about them non stop (I was extremely poor as a child so when I got a game I usually had to stick with it for a very long time and he would always stick with those games with me). His birthday is in august and since I couldn't do Pikmin 2 I decided I would play through Mother 3 in one sitting and streamed the whole process for his birthday. It took 22 hours. He even joined me part way through the game and we talked the rest of the time. I miss him very much but that's a memory I will never forget. Besides this one instance, I made a lot of memories with this game and it's a fantastic one to boot. It's really sad it never had a true localization because I would love for people be able to bond over a game as amazing as this one.

Sorry for such an essay on this. I really mostly bonded over games most of my life and I can really talk about this sort of thing forever. It's so weird how I play a video game for most of my free time but I never seem to have a chance to talk about something like this, lol. I have plenty more memories to share from these games but I don't want to make this so hard to read.

TL:DR Just read the first sentence in each paragraph.

Also I obviously love Team Fortress 2.

#8 ETF2L playoffs system in TF2 General Discussion
zxpThis format leaves more room for upsets, like in season 28 where the fourth place seed Ascent.EU beat Lowpander and Lego and ran Svift really close in the grand finals. Although I realize thats rare, imo thats worth the delay.

unless those teams were forced to use ringers why is this inherently a bad thing?

#15 RGL No Restriction Sixes S1 W2: Froyotech vs Cat Noises in Events
Daffodil-if u aren't running two medics in this format u lose
i am 100% confident in saying this right now

also low key im having lots of fun with this format idc if everyone thinks its aids

Two medics was a solid idea on Upward but don't think it would follow up well on a 5cp map (being able to constantly aggress and defend on a stopwatch based gamemode is very rewarding for that run up). Even then, there's a lot more we could've done that isn't just another medic (i.e. I think having a pyro on defense on Upward is kind of a necessity lol).

I agree that this game mode has been extremely fun so far. But I also pub a lot so all the constant stuff doesn't bother me much.
