#1 Looking for SFM editor to collab with in TF2 General Discussion

Hey

Some of you might know me from my last movie Red Light Green Light

Even though I kept the editing style very simple and tried to let the frags speak for themselves, i got a lot of positive feedback (Even from Mr. Robin Walker himself!) and this really motivated me to come up with another movie.

Basically I found some (old) songs that I wanted to use in a fragmovie before this one, but my hdd died before and i lost about 12 minutes of edited footage. Anyhow, listening to these songs again makes me want to release another movie and i already found some fitting frags to specific parts of the songs.

Looking at all the positive feedback that i received on my latest movie, i really want to put in more effort into making my next movie even more awesome.
My stronger qualities are making smooths, syncing with music, and colour correction. These qualities help me to make a good, clean looking fragmovie, but, for my next fragmovie

Show Content
(A Funky Demoman)

i feel like this is not enough to make my fragmovie meet the required expectations. In order to make it perfect, i want to apply the magic touch of Source Film Maker. However, i do not have enough experience or knowledge with this program.

This is where you come in.

I am looking for someone who has experience in Source Film Maker. Right now, I'm especially looking for someone who is good at close-ups and facial expressions. But other qualities are also valued if i come up with more scenes, such as mid-air battles or a dancing demoman.
My goal is to finish this movie by the end of the summer, so i'm looking for someone who has enough spare time on his/her hands.
I'm also looking for someone who is easy to work with. I want you to be open to suggestions but also come up with good ideas yourself. We have to work together so i expect you to have some insight in what has to be done but most importantly, you should enjoy what you are doing. I'm a very relaxed and easy going guy, and I hope you are aswell.
The style of the movie will be 70's/oldschool funky with music such as stevie wonder, david holmes, 10cc, the trammps, etc. This is a bit of an indication what type of style I am thinking of, but we can discuss this further.

So,
if you feel like you want to help me out and create this fragmovie together with me, hit me up on steam: http://steamcommunity.com/id/mightyme
I'm sure together we can create something awesome and become friends on the way

#10 Preview Lag in Off Topic

Personally my laptop and computer are not the strongest machines either when it comes to video editing, but you can turn down the preview quality which reduces the lag quite a bit.
If I want to sync something correctly i use my arrow keys to go through the footage, and just watch it frame by frame. I feel like playing the footage in preview is not always fully in sync with the real audio-video but when i look at it by skipping frames manually it's easier to see.

#1 Why does twitch delete my videos? in TF2 General Discussion

I don't stream often, and i use twitch more as a purpose of recording some things in 60fps and publishing it.
However, many of my videos keep getting deleted, why?

http://www.twitch.tv/mightytv/videos?kind=past_broadcasts

MGE Cup finals broadcast got deleted, playoffs got deleted, and some more stuff..
I don't know why twitch keeps doing this, but is there any way i can stop this?

#17 G400 Died, Not sure how to get replacement :| in Hardware

Contact customer support by phone.
They will ask for your e-mail, and then ask you for the following information*:

First name:
Sir name:
Adres:
Postal code:
Residence:
Phone:
Evidence / receipt of purchase to be added as appendix

Product M/N:
Product P/N:
Product PID of S/N:

*Logitech Netherlands, might differ for your region

I got an e-mail the same moment, and after two working days they mailed me back to inform me that a new G400s is coming my way.
I still have my old G400 at home but they told me to hold on to it for a month.

It's quite strange, lately i see a lot of people complain about their g400 not working properly, especially their cords breaking. My g400 also stopped working (kept disconnecting and connecting few times per minute while playing) after about 4 months.
I've been using my mx518 for 5 years and never had any problems with it...

#6 How to practice pipe aim in TF2 General Discussion
scrimshawseems like a way more complicated tr_newbots

Imo in that map the bots have easier movement and the map is too small, and the respawn time is too slow.

#1 How to practice pipe aim in TF2 General Discussion

edit: due to some tf2 updates the versions of sourcemod & metamod as posted before don't work. Here is a link to the /addons folder that i use on my server and it works as of 26/07/2013
addons.rar (8.9 MB)
http://goo.gl/DFhDLx

----
I've had this idea in my head for a while but last night i won a demo 1v1 mge cup so i guess now is the right time to make this topic.

Here's a video explaining how to use this training method and showing short footage of me actually playing it: http://www.twitch.tv/mightytv/b/422534013
Skip to 13:30 to see the map itself and explanation of the training

This training method focuses on improving your pipe aim in general; especially tracking, juggling and reaction time.

You will fight against a computer played bot, in a round arena, with unlimited ammo and fast respawn time
- Class of the bot can be changed to any of the 9 classes
- Respawntime can be adjusted to your own preference
- Health can be set from 1 to anything

The reason why I like this training method a lot is because you are not dependent on any real player wanting to play vs you, or their skill level, or server performance.
This method is perfectto quickly warm up your pipe aim before you have a scrim or a match, or just to improve your pipe aim in general.

Requirements:
- Sourcemod*
- Metamod*
- Directs map (credits to Lange(?) for originally adding this map to the mge_training series and credits to LeSwordfish from tf2maps.net for extracting the map for me)
- Some cfg files
- Unlimited ammo script

Sourcemod & Metamod are optional for Fast Respawn & Max Health plugin. Without these 2 plugins you will not respawn faster than 4 seconds and you are not able to adjust the health of your enemy. Therefore it is highly recommended to download and install these two programs.

You can watch the video that I posted above, or you can follow these steps to "install" this method:

EASY WAY (includes Sourcemod + Metamod)
1. Download Connecting pipes like a plumber.rar (9.2 MB)
https://mega.co.nz/#!epJV0KKb!YmCsSwZLbA8PN0gHGScI82Y7K8UU8YODWZv7V3B11QE

2. Extract all files to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf
3. Add -insecure to launch options of Team Fortress 2
4. Type map directs in console while in team fortress 2 main menu
5. Type exec directsready in console
6. Type exec resup in console
7. Play
(8. Personally i prefer to play directs without hitsound and autoreload, because you don't need either one of them in here. Type cl_autoreload 0 and tf_dingaling 0 in console to disable autoreload and hitsound)

SIMPLE WAY (NO Instant respawn & NO Health changer)
1. Download Connecting pipes like a plumber2.rar (226 KB)
https://mega.co.nz/#!ShhjHCDI!bcEx0TlUa9whvGtze4CEhGFAdW1u8KjSdET3MEKRQJQ

2. Extract all files to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf
3. Type map directs in console while in team fortress 2 main menu
4. Type exec directsready in console
5. Type exec resup in console
6. Play

HARD WAY* (Use this method to be 100% sure that Sourcemod & Metamod are working)
1. Install MetaMod:

Installing Metamod:Source
SourceMod runs using Metamod:Source. You will need to install Metamod in order for SourceMod to work.
http://www.metamodsource.net/ The download link is located on the left side of the webpage. Make sure to pick the proper operation system (Windows on a Windows server, Linux on a Linux server, and so on).
Put the content of the zip into your game's root folder. You should now have an "addons" folder in your game's root folder.
In order for the game to recognise Metamod, you need a vdf file. http://www.metamodsource.net/?go=vdf Select the game you wish to install Metamod for, then click the generate button.
Once the metamod.vdf file has downloaded, copy it into your "addons" folder.
You have now successfully installed Metamod!

2. Install SourceMod:

Installing SourceMod
Once you have installed Metamod:Source, there will be an "addons" folder in your server's game root.
Download SourceMod http://www.sourcemod.net/downloads.php (make sure to pick the proper operation system).
Place the content of the zip into your server's game root.
You have now successfully installed SourceMod!

3. Download cfg.rar (683 B)
https://mega.co.nz/#!nhg0hQZb!P573Gi-S0QqETWp6VcTvBWYkccEUTfpGpawkrnLUgvI

4. Extract all files to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\cfg
5. Download maps.rar (92 KB)
https://mega.co.nz/#!uohnGJiB!TUNn6R6xvcD9oY3JBibLhjtIDtdxGqET8WlUYELMcvg

6. Extract all files to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\maps
7. Download scripts.rar (2 KB)
https://mega.co.nz/#!ms5iETDK!TvkkEUvADTnYbus07awtNS6IQgNgveS8qB_bPOc-8zU

8. Extract all files to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\scripts
9. Add -insecure to launch options of Team Fortress 2
10. Type map directs in console while in team fortress 2 main menu
11. Type exec directsready in console
12. Type exec resup in console
13. Play
*If there are any issues with installing Metamod/Sourcemod please refer to http://wiki.alliedmods.net/Installing_SourceMod as I can not help you with this issue.

I hope that this method works for you, and that it helps you improve your aim. If you have any questions, feel free to reply here and I will look into it.

Happy plumbing!

the crew was pretty exciting for me, wish they would make another new driver

also hate it when those hosts overuse "game language" when they are just plain ordinary people ( or in this case a 3 meter tall black woman )
