I had kinda same issue as you where i would sleep for 12 hours and couldn't wake up. I fixed it by doing this:

Right now I use 2 alarms, 1 is a regular clock which is loud as fuck and the other one is my phone.
With my phone i downloaded some app that plays my music and when i press snooze it will play the alarm again in 5 minutes. There is also an option that you have to solve some math issues every time you want to snooze it, or when you want to dismiss it.
The alarm clock i set about 30 minutes after the alarm on my phone. And i put the alarm clock somewhere far away from the bed, e.g. on the top shelf of my desk so that i HAVE to get out of bed to stop it.

Personally I would suggest you as a beginner, to not simply take some overlays (such as the smoke, sparks etc) but to create them yourself.
Usually the process of making it and doing it yourself is what you learn the most from.

Google some tutorials about what you find interesting, maybe like you already did, some 3d text? Follow different tutorials and you will come across different styles.

Also the text HC looks pretty good, i like it.

One time i stunned an enemy over the house in badwater as a scout coming out of respawn. I accidentally hit that guy with my sandman in 1 try and even after trying it so many times i haven't managed to do it since.

Once in a 6v6 lobby on my favorite map (cp_fastlane) i was playing demo with shield and my friend on medic with kritskrieg. After like 10 minutes i had 4 dominations, 1 guy ragequit and 2 guys joined the enemy team. Now we played 4v7. While defending the last point i managed to land a 11 man kill streak by decapitating 7 people and killing 4 with pipes.
