I did my best to save every fucking Pikmin I had. The worst was when they would get stuck in the water, and I was just spamming the whistle to save them, but there would always be that one that could make it. Or the times with that fucking bird or rolling thing that would just decimate you.

Holy fuck, I hated those feelings.

I feel you, it's the worst feeling when you try to save them but deep inside you know it's already too late :(

I had kinda same issue as you where i would sleep for 12 hours and couldn't wake up. I fixed it by doing this:

Right now I use 2 alarms, 1 is a regular clock which is loud as fuck and the other one is my phone.
With my phone i downloaded some app that plays my music and when i press snooze it will play the alarm again in 5 minutes. There is also an option that you have to solve some math issues every time you want to snooze it, or when you want to dismiss it.
The alarm clock i set about 30 minutes after the alarm on my phone. And i put the alarm clock somewhere far away from the bed, e.g. on the top shelf of my desk so that i HAVE to get out of bed to stop it.

Personally I would suggest you as a beginner, to not simply take some overlays (such as the smoke, sparks etc) but to create them yourself.
Usually the process of making it and doing it yourself is what you learn the most from.

Google some tutorials about what you find interesting, maybe like you already did, some 3d text? Follow different tutorials and you will come across different styles.

Also the text HC looks pretty good, i like it.
