warriordragon12im pretty sure the washington servers are in wenatchee, not bellevue. i live 3 minutes from bellevue and i would get 5 ping if they were in bellevue, not 20-25
if you check your ping to servers in console, it brings up EAT for washingotn im pretty sure, which is an airport code for wenatchee which is in the middle of WA

hawkieldWhat is the purpose of this? I thought ping depended upon ISP's routing rather than geographical area. I get 90ms ping in Singapore Servers, 175ms in German Servers and get 250ms in mumbai while connected from Kathmandu(nepal).

dailyWhat is the 2000 kilometer bubble based off of, and what is considered decent ping? There are a lot more variables to latency than just geographical location.
I picked 2,000 because it's about the distance from Toronto to Dallas which is about as far as I can connect while still getting under 60 ping. I understand that more goes into it then that but I can't really calculate all that for every person and this is kinda the next best thing.
Edit: I have been informed that there are additional Valve servers not listed on the in-game menu. If you know of any please leave them below so we can create a more complete map, thanks!
So I made 2 maps of the official Valve servers. The first one is just a world map with each location, and the second has a 2,000 Km bubble around each one to help indicate how far you can live from the server and still get decent ping.

First of all why in the world would you put -dxlevel 70 in tf2 that's asking for your game not to work.
So remove -dxlevel 70 and use 95 or 81
Secondly I don't think that pink/black screen is a verify files issue its more HUD related. (Probably your HUD is broken)
And lastly Comanglia did say he wasn't updating this config anymore so don't expect an answer, just use this one
I didn't think dx7 would work but I looked up how to fix this and someone said to it that so I tried
however you were completely right about it being a HUD issues so thank you very much :)

I just installed "Max FPS for High Quality PCs" at dxlevel 81 and it did this
I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING
I have tried:
* Verifying my files
* Puting "-dxlevel 70 -mat_forcehardwaresync 0" in launch options
* hud_reloadscheme
I was using transparent viewmodels when I was on dx9 I don't know if there are any files left over or if that is a problem
Please help!!

I've been watching some ESEA demos lately but for some reason they always cut out befoe the end of the match
