Yup, been using DVI. I wouldn't think that hdmi would cause skips like this anyway; just bad frames in general, right? My card has two DVI ports on it though, so I guess I'll try the other one.

So I recently got a 144hz monitor and have now been playing around with getting Da Best fps. Initially I didn't feel like fucking around with a config and just lowered my settings to the minimum; however, even if I'm getting an otherwise steady 200+ fps, I occasionally get these weird skips, where my game will completely freeze for anywhere from a tenth of a second to a full second or two. I can't really see any constants; sometimes it happens during fights, or just during rollouts, from four times a game to not at all for hours at a time. Occasionally at the start of a round, my game would freeze for the whole of the freeze time.

I eventually got annoyed enough to decide maybe a config would solve the problem and installed Comanglia's. Since then I've never gotten a skip that lasts more than half a second, but they still happen. Any ideas on why this is happening?

Happens for me, too. Only solution I know of is to reconnect when its looking like the teams are about to ready up. Doesn't happen in Valve MM tho so there's probably a real solution.

they're nice for the longevity of the game but I just don't have any interest in playing for some stupid specific goal in comp that isn't winning, nor in playing with other people trying to get them done. just kinda disappointed at how happy people are about a new low effort cash grab. hopefully pyro gets fixed
