CHE_gl slin, also since i think you have the ability to sticky threads, is it possible to create one of those threads where it has everyone looking for a team like in the pugna site, just a suggestion of course
but again slin is very dedicated, shows hot chicks and apparently buff men at times in his stream, gl
someone else would have to make it cause i don't want to spend the time maintaining it but i welcome that kind of thread and encourage anyone who wants to do that
still has a large playerbase so it isn't too late
at the same time i would not recommend buying the game unless you're an extremely slow leveler
skimRang for my mid open team for 2 scrims.
Very helpful player, learned lots during those 50 minutes.
We haven't lost once since. (We haven't scrimmed either, but my point stands.)
ROFL...you guys were awesome
LFT S14 hit me up on steam
i'm thinking of going too....john/mana do you need a 3rd roomie?
Does anyone else get a timeout error when trying to load pages on ESEA.net? It's very hit or miss for me. Sometimes I can load a couple pages, but eventually it will timeout and I'll have to keep mashing refresh for up to 5-10 minutes until the page loads. I've tried everything from clearing the cache to restarting my router but I think it's an ESEA problem...can anyone confirm?
@OP I really liked listening to your sets. Some of the transitions between songs were a bit rough, but overall it had a really nice groove and I enjoyed listening to it.
A lot of players try to watch their own demos and then correct their mistakes, but for most people the best way to improve is actually to watch the pros and then try to emulate them. Watching invite demos is one of the best ways to improve if you cannot scrim with your team. If you can, get a teammate or buddy to watch with you and have a discussion about what you are watching.
In other words, instead of trying to figure out what you are doing wrong, try to figure out how to do it right.
What separates Open teams from IM teams are the number and type of small advantages that you move on, how quickly you move on them (reaction time as a team), and focus fire in team fights. IM teams play like teams, and Open teams get away with a lot of individual plays.
Had fun watching it.
Blank and I did two more casts tonight on TFTV if you want to check the VODs.
It was Playground Tactics vs. Toon Gang and DJINNOCIDE vs. Very Good Bad Boys.
Congrats to all the teams that made playoffs. Remember that you only need to win one match to make IM, and it is a double elimination tourney. You get two chances!
Also no word from me on the new Standin but I personally hated that map. Plus it is awful from a casting perspective as you can't watch multiple points at once. It would have to be amazingly good to get into this solid rotation.
I think the weakest map in the rotation this season is sadly gravelpit. Gravelpit has been a staple in the map rotation set since Season 1 and has always proven to be a great tie-breaker map due to the stopwatch config. However I just feel that there is a bit too much predictability in the strategy and timings now. Sure every map has that predictability but it is especially so nowadays on Gpit. Also there isn't that dynamic push-pull and a constant tug of war like you would see in a 5cp or KOTH map. Still, there were some great Gpit matches this season and being the map that it is it brings some of the most exciting matches from a spectator perspective including FT vs. Vector. That could also be a reason to get rid of the map, as it could be argued that Vector wouldn't have won that matchup on a 5cp. It's also interesting to note that Gpit has been voted out of the rotation in both ETF2L and OzFortress.
Metal works is a great map as we saw this season and should stay in the rotation. It is honestly one of the most unique maps due to the interesting flank from 2 to 3 and the design of the second point is very interesting. Also last point is decent to push out of right now.
As far as replacements maps go, options are limited. To remind everyone, the maps Well, Freight, Warmfront, and Yukon were all voted out of the rotation long ago because last points were impossible to push out of and were stalematey/not fun to play. Well has a second point that wasn't much fun and Freight has spawn issues. Yukon had an interesting mid and is similar to Gullywash because the tunnel/flank cuts behind the main choke. But Yukon's last was extremely difficult to push into as the large geometry meant your uber would get forced early and then easily kited. Pushing out of last was a nightmare as there was only one true entrance from which to push out.
I think one of the best options is to keep the current rotation until a better map is developed. This was honestly one of the best seasons as far as map rotations go.
