Do you PUG? Why/Why Not?

TF2 General Discussion
I'm curious to know, do you PUG 6v6 or 9v9 TF2? Why or why not? What do you tend to play in: publicly hosted pugs (pug.na, mix, tf2pickup, tf2center) or privately hosted pugs (in house, doublemixes, etc.)?
One thing I've noticed is that pug culture is extremely important - if people tryhard, then everyone tryhards. If people goof off, everyone goofs off. Is tryharding important for pugs? Would tryhard pugging incentivize you to pug more often?
It's always the same people playing pugs and I'd be curious to see why some of the better players in this game don't pug more often.
