#37 Large, visible, and green overheal particles in Customization

Quickly wanted to provide a small update regarding the RGL legality of the particles I posted above earlier this month. I had a short conversation with Exa, one of the head admins of RGL, who confirmed that only oversized particles are illegal and NOT recolored particles. The overheal particle mod I made that I posted above is confirmed by Exa to be perfectly legal and allowed. Exa also confirmed that the RGL rules document will be modified to clarify that recolored overheal particles are allowed, so long as the particles are not oversized. If they are oversized they are still illegal.

I had asked Exa and the RGL team about the original oversized particle ban and while I could not get any one specific reason, it appears like it might be related to some sort of unfair player visibility? Which does make sense since players could theoretically use the massive particles to see a player that would otherwise have been hidden from view

Slightly late to this thread but definitely worth a bump: In case anyone wants an RGL rule-friendly overheal particle that still has some minor utility, I have created a safe variant of the default overheal particle that is bright green instead of team colored and also removes random particle fade-out-size. It still makes seeing overheal, especially from distance, a little easier without the need to enlarge the particles, which makes it RGL friendly. Posting in case anyone else wants to try it out for themselves https://www.mediafire.com/file/3g43c4hkhrl94gw/medicgun_attrib.pcf/file

How to install and is this actually rgl allowed or am I getting trolled

Unless they specifically do a blanket-ban on ALL healing particle modifications or general particle mods as a whole, then this mod should be allowed without any issue. It was my understanding that, from reading their rules, only "oversized"/enlarged particles are banned. Removing particles and recoloring particles should be fine still. If you're an RGL staff member please feel free to correct or clarify. If recoloring a default particle is banned then you might want to add that to the rules...

Installation is the same as all of the other particle (.pcf) files in this thread. In tf's custom folder: my_custom_stuff -> particles -> paste the file
