I went to an all girls school, so girls were forced to ask out guys from other schools. I asked my crush nonchalantly, which turned out to be a terrible idea because then he thought we were going as friends, which I didn't know until I learned he had a thing for my friend. My advice? Be upfront about whether it's a friends thing or a romantic thing. Also, don't go to single-sex high school.
