#71 TFTV Political Leanings in Off Topic

I wanna say the 2nd test is more accurate, especially since the first one used a lot of words like "never" "sometimes" and "always" as opposed to "generally" or "most of the time".

#1 LFP all classes (except pocket) mid-high open in Recruitment (looking for players)

At the end of season 21 I split up what was left of my open team because everyone left and I didn't have the energy to keep things going. That was a big fucking mistake, because running an esea tf2 team was easily the most awesome experience of my life.

Last season my team went even with a bunch of random people off this forum and crappy silver players, and I intend to do a lot better this time around. I made a ton of shitty mistakes in S21, such as my lack of any actual coordination, demo reviews, and constant tilting. I don't intend on repeating any of that.

Scout1: Happiest Little Bucket
Scout2: Boggy
Roamer: Bubzi
Pocket: King Verde
Demo: Radioactive
Medic: ShadeSteel

Tryouts will likely be around 9:30 est monday-thurs, maybe sunday
* If you DO NOT HAVE any esea experience, keep in mind that I probably WILL NOT try you out.*

Team is done, GL to all searching!

#76 How is this happening in World Events
KevinIsPwn*snip*

I'd suggest you watch the video that I (and someone else) posted if you really still believe that everything Trump has said/done is really just some asshole going on a whim. Just about everything he's done is part of his plan to gain support of what we might call the "easily persuaded" voting block of the American public, and this is very clear if you've been paying attention to how he's been changing over his campaign. All of the things he said which you listed were just to gather media attention; the way he presented himself at the RNC shows how he is moving from a far right nutjob to a moderate right-winged family man.

#14 How is this happening in World Events

Let me give a serious answer real quick before this Trump thread blows up into angry tftv politics like the last one did.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LibRNYJmZ-I

As Scott Adams (the creator of the comic strip Dilbert and trained hypnotist) has been discussing on his blog the entire election season, Trump is a master of human persuasion, and the video above explains some of his techniques very well. I'd highly recommend anyone interested to look into Scott Adam's blog as it just might change the way you view politics quite a bit,

#55 What keeps you motivated to play tf2? in TF2 General Discussion

TF2 was the first time in my life I noticed I was getting good at literally anything in my life when i started doing really well in pub servers, and I've never stopped pushing myself to get better because this game honestly feels like my one chance to be really, really great at something, even if that something is super insignificant and not particularly cared about.

#8 Wisdom Teeth removal in Off Topic

Had a friend recently go to get them out, but the surgery went bad when something about the anesthesia made him puke, which got stuck inside his throat, and he had to get sent to an ER. Fortunately he was more than fine and he's gonna try again soon. Worst part was a bunch of us had a big questionnaire for him to answer while he was still kind of high, but now we have to wait lol.

As for me I got it done a last Christmas. The whole experience was great until they decided to reschedule my follow-up appointment 3 days later than it should have been, making that weekend one of the worst of my life as I had to wait to get the little sprayer to remove the food building up in the sockets of my mouth, making said sockets extremely painful to the point of painkillers doing absolutely nothing. So make sure you get that within a week.

#11 TF2 for dreamhack austin? in LAN Discussion

Even though there isn't much time to organize teams and the rules/maps are outdated, I'd hate to miss a potential lan right next to where I live. If anyone else wants to see if they can make this work HMU, but if no one else wants to bother then it is what it is.

#1 King Verde LFT Pocket/Scout High-Open in Recruitment (looking for team)

Because my team died a sudden death over the off season, I've decided to look for one instead. I feel very confident in my performance last season, both as a main caller and a leader, and think I could play a solid role in a high open team. While I would prefer to play pocket, I could also play a solid scout after a bit of grinding before the season starts. Whichever role I play, I'll do my best to improve as a player and as a team!

#1 LFP Scouts + med mid-high open. Also, subs! in Recruitment (looking for players)

Last season I ran a solid mid-open team which was 8-8, which I like to think is a pretty solid season for a new team. After cuts and people leaving, I need 2 scouts and a medic. A few things I expect for tryouts are:

-Having played open before; I'm not looking for new players, and you better be damn cocky if you're new :)
-With that, good knowledge of the comptf2 season as a whole helps.
-Pretty open schedule Monday-Thursday nights (probably Sunday too)
-Dedication, desire to get better etc.
-Preferably not a toxic retard

Current Roster:
Scout: could be you!
Scout: could be you!
Roamer: Conkey(?)
Pocket: King Verde
Demo: Boris
Medic: could be you!

EDIT: Nvm team died, thx to all that added!

#5 Doom MP trailer in Other Games

When I played the alpha, it really felt like they made a really, really dumbed-down arena shooter for console players. 2 weapon loadouts, slow movement speed, 70 fov, being unable to change direction when double jumping etc. really killed any potential i thought this game would have. The lack of any way to give actual feedback to the devs that wasn't just a "rate us 1 out of 5" tells me the beta won't be any better, but hopefully i'm wrong.

#23 New Open Teams, how's your season going? in TF2 General Discussion

This season has been pretty great so far! I spent the full month before the season started to try make a strong team with people from my silver team last season and people from the forums, and it really has payed off. So far we've rarely had any issues with players not being able to play and have basically no chance of becoming dead mid-season, which seems to happen to new teams often. If anything, the whole team has become very close friends and we're already looking forward to next season.

Match wise we got rolled first week and we looked like yet another new low open team, but we used viaduct week to show that we're definitely at least in mid-open, and have kept our heads high since. Some of us are pretty convinced that with our current schedule, if we can improve a ton soon and get really, REALLY lucky, we *might* be able to grab the last spot on playoffs, which would be pretty hilarious if we did. It's probably wishful thinking but encouragement is encouragement.

Being TC has also been a great experience for me. It sucks that nothing I do in TF2 can't really be put on any sort of resume or other application, but how much self-improvement I've had from running things has been absolutely invaluable. It's also good that my usual tilting as the main-calling pocket has gotten better since my team called me out on it :>

I'll end by saying that overall I'm damn proud of how my team has been and even though I'm not well known at all in this community I'm damn proud to be a part of it! Good luck to all the other teams doing their best to improve and all the other Team Captains for keeping their teams together!
