Tino & I co-coached a team this past season. It was really nice to see them progress as the season went on, and it really showed me just how much we can develope the low/middle end of the scene skill-wise by just watching a few scrims and telling people how stuff works.
If you want more competition, a healthier community, and to just get to explain the game to some new folks, PLEASE help out by coaching either a newbie team or just hopping in & coaching the occasional newbie mix :)
Fuck I rly wanted that pink nerd star
Unfortunate
lmk if this does not fit ur artistic vision @enigma. this is how i always "saw it" upscaled in my head. happy 2 do whatever
also i dont need $50 so dw about that if this is good
edit: removed a thin outline layer that wasnt supposed to be in the final product oops lol
TaatKevinIsPwnI agree but essentially higher than 90 fov is available in tf2 if you have a wide monitor or triple monitor setup, right? this just levels the playing field (while making me have to throw up but sacrifices must be made for in game info :o )
There's some server setting that limits the effective fov from going over what you get with 16:9 aspect ratio, it's not on by default but is used in most comp rulesets
ah, cool. ty
enigmato anyone who succeeds:
$50 and a custom-colored nerdstar of your choosing hardcoded to your account
I gotchu tomorrow (but I know some dork is gonna see this and steal my thunder)
Also, forget the $50- I'd do it just to display all my invisible nerd stars; I want my post header to be reminiscent of shitty countries' generals
biskuumastercomsIncreased default FOV to 90, and max FOV to 120mastercoms...It's a version of Team Fortress 2, based on the recent leak which aims to fix many bugs, performance issues, etc.Default FOV to 90 is great, but allowing anything above that is game changing and I think misses the initial point of this project.
Besides that keep going, these are all incredible!

maybe a slightly lower number than 120? that is a bit gamechanging (and not particularly accessible for the same reason as 70 isn't- makes most ppl feel kinda sick/dizzy/strained in the eyes). that + removing horizontal FOV exploits would be really great
edit: this is only half right, per info in comment #30. oops.
mastercomsI mean, a lot of this stuff is not very well tested. So I would understand if they would be uncomfortable to include it.
I understand that this isn't something that we should fork into the "real" game rn. But the fact that shounic is still finding bugs & that you've made this at all, and valve just doesnt give a fuck to even change default FOV to 90...
I mean it, does someone have a contact at valve? there's no reason this shit shouldn't be in the fucking game
It's infuriating
can valve just fking hire you, shounic, and like one community liaison already christ
they've got the money
edit: lf job as part time community liaison for tf2.
We love new gamers!

It appears as though we are getting a huge bump from the RGL event. Come coach tonight if you can!! Get new players in the game :)

EDIT: good for now. will bump if that changes.

that spy shot is insane wtf (3:23 for the curious)
mipertonKevinIsPwnif someone does this and it gets reported, the admins will issue a banthe only problem with that is ppl only report if they lose or it affects them directly. As seen in this case, i dont think rgl admins are really identifying the real issue here, or know the situation to the fullest extent.
i genuinely don't understand how people think the volunteer rgl admins are just gonna know automatically what happens in every game??
than ppl shouldnt, in this example, say the n word??????????? it's not complicated. the "real issue" isn't admins punishing shitty conduct. it's the conduct itself, even though that's inconvenient for you. if you talk shit excessively in any competition, most leagues/organizations will dole out punishments.
ur literally unbanned tomorrow and still bumping your week-old thread complaining about the injustice of you getting banned for breaking the rules. it makes 0 sense
