I've been apart of many friend teams in my history and actually have never been put on a team full of players who only want to win at all costs. There are so many pros and cons to teams like this but I still enjoy them. Ex. MAL Every player on that team still talks to each other and we had the biggest choke in invite history yet I still enjoy playing with every player on it. Speedy, Boar, and I already experienced the Rodney King beatdown in Invite when we decided to move up and not just win IM. We are mainclassing in IM which turns people off already but I promise you the number of degen hours required to play invite and not get rolled is like 3 times the amount necessary to play a class you already played in invite to play in IM. I literally play pugs to have fun now and truly believe it is the way to play when there is no incentive for me at least.

Save Invite I've been there and done that. Still waiting on my WELFARE for MAL S27. I remember whaleesports and then it becoming Lunatik gaming. I rather enjoy the game by not having to play it to death at this point less I was guaranteed playoffs. Give some new faces a chance to get the Experience of playing at the highest division. It's easy to move up the veterans but if a team isn't all committed to trying it will be a dead team or a bad one not worth playing in invite.

I agree cheating is wrong and people who cheat will always have that as apart of their reputation. I had to quit playing tf2 for about a year until I realized I had made a terrible mistake and came back to play IM scout made top 4 playoffs. I continued to improve because this game the only way to improve is by putting in time and effort. Knowing my reputation was now branded as a cheater because of doing well in open right before I started cheating the next season people question my skill as a player and probably still do. I got lucky enough to get on a team after not playing for a full season for like four seasons ( shoutouts to vaati, azn,Nate,megawac, and sideways).
I had to play cs go and overwatch to fill the tf2 void for a year and I can tell you I've never been so mad at a video game than playing esea pugs and overwatch ranked. After getting to A rank after months of cs dealing with all the chimps from D rank to B rank then getting rolled each pug because of the matchmaking in pugs being questionable( I got matched up against two pros queuing and Stanislaw twice in one day) almost made me pop a vein. Then overwatch was the new big game at the time of my VACation I decided to try it out for fun eventually becoming good enough to make GM. I am a very competitive player and have some temper issues, so you know the journey wasn't always fun. The season I was about to get GM I was at 3993-3999 like seven times and kept getting some mouth breathing simian saying today's the day symmetra will win on attack on hanamura (or another two cp aids map before symmetra was good). Once I got to GM, I realized how aids the game was I put it down and thought about TF2. I never get as angry, I enjoy playing, and there isn't a specific set of team comps that need to be performed to win.
So I ate my 1-year ban for cheating suffered rat aids from playing those two games, and I can tell you I regret cheating as much as I regret yelling " YOU DUMB Trihard GET OFF SYMMETRA" or " Do you ride the short bus to school fucking hold A stop running in on CT!. Took years off my life and a year of playing a game I always find enjoyable.
As for sandbaggers yeah it sucks and has been a trend for a long time. I want everyone who isn't a sandbagger and has to deal with them in open or IM to know you guys are great never feel down about losing to some ape who came down to play ....when he can apparently play ... Remember if you take a round or 2 off them being new players they fucking blow and or you are just getting better two things that people should be happy about because sandbagging probably won't stop. Invite can be exhausting to play if you only get rolled and maybe that player got good enough that the other divisions will be more comfortable. Like not making playoffs directly from just barely not being good enough or not being good enough to place higher than 9th is fucking aids. I don't have to imagine that but you guys try doing so, and this is what leads people to dodge invite or going let's play open or IM with my friends for whatever reason. So next time you play a sandbagging team at the end of the season if you place lower than them move yourself up a slot because that's what you should have placed if your new. Now if you've been playing open or IM for 20 decades longer than my HENTAI list I have to be harder on you GET BETTER and stop complaining AND USING EXCUSES. I put a lot of time in and effort before and after I cheated so if an ex-cheating rat ape can make invite pretty sure anyone can if they try.
