you should be able to remove the hud crosshair by looking in hudlayout.res, if its the circle crosshair, it will be the first listing in that file. It is located in your tf/scripts folder. You will have to change visible from "1" to "0".

haha, ya the admins get offended very easily if you are a good player. I've been banned from those servers too, they usually aren't permanent
Question to anyone who knows about HUDs...How come when I use the HudFontMediumSecondary font for the currency font, it shows the engineer metal icon instead of the dollar sign?
Well, I just looked at what files were modified from the patch notes, and then opened each file and placed in the new code. You can find the modified files here. I don't know if that's how all hud makers/maintainers do it, but it's the only obvious way I see. I'll prolly end up just downloading g-mang's updated hud however, because I'm not that creative in styling all the panel's and stuff. But it is nice to know how to do, so you can update your huds in future if hud makers stop updating it themselves.
Thank you OTL! I've been searching for that entry since the update came out!
FIX:
Updated with a new engineering building/destroy panel, as well as a new spy disguise panel, which I took from KBNHud.
I also experimented with moving the currency panel for MvM. It seems there is not much wiggle room in it however. I can move it up to almost where the Health is, but I liked the look of it being lower on screen.
I plan on messing with the location of the player ready-up panels in MvM as well as editing the scoreboard to work better with MvM.
FIX:
Updated to not include crosshairs, as well as weed out some other personal things
HUD
For those of you who use G-Mang HUD, here is an updated version that works with MvM. I am pretty sure I have everything working correctly, however, I am still working on a nice looking scoreboard for myself that works with MvM. I will eventually post it once I have it finished.
I am pretty sure this is the stock G-Mang HUD except for the kill notice colors which I took from KNHUD. Also I think I left my hud crosshair on also. You can disable it by opening hudlayout.res located in tf/scripts/ and changing visible to "0" for both Crosshair_vertical's and Crosshair_horizontal's.
If there are any bugs that you can notice, post in here and I'll update it, assuming gmang himself doesn't update his hud first.
EDIT:
G-Mang is working on an update for his HUD. He says it might be available tomorrow :D
gmang said he was gonna try and update it today. I tried messing with it to see if I could get mvm working on it, but it didnt want to show up
you obviously care some since you clicked here, and even took the time to post about how much you don't care
With you being on a team with an aggresive, great DM pocket, what changes in your gameplay as demoman? Is their a role change, between you and for example b4nny?
In your opinion, should the demoman top damage if they are partnered with a high DDM pocket(such as TLR and yourself)? Or are there more important things the demoman can do/focus on besides trying to outdamage their pocket? Focusing on shutting down opposing pushes? Distracting team by jumping in aggresively?
Sorry for all the questions, but I have an strong interest in your opinion, as I am in a similar situation to what i described.
Thanks PUFF! That breakdown is kinda very simplistic and yet so helpful! I'll be keeping those things in mind in next scrims and see how i fare.
Mustard, yes I remember our scrim against you, I think I usually went window when we went closet and then walked through closet for the most part. I might have gone normal once when I shouldn't have, i forget. I can normally get to mid normal at the turning to 9:44 which I'm pretty sure is the fastest. If I don't I usually play window.
Any tips or secrets for dealing out the super early damage on soldiers walking through valley besides getting there fast? Any positioning things/whatever? The way I figured it, is to fuck with the crit heals on the soldiers by putting a stick right by that wall so when the equalizing soldier is getting healed, you hit him and mess with crit-heals. Is there some other trick that I don't know about?
Ya, that's true, I think I need to listen to their calls as well. I think I miss them a lot of the times.
Whether it be a scout going through closet, or a soldier bombing onto train, I usually get damaged too much or die before I can deal damage. I think I also put myself out of position when those things happen, so I need advice on how to handle pressure while dealing damage.
