ignore runes until you're about level 20
don't jungle until you're about level 20
masteries and runes aren't hard to figure out once you spend some time with them
same goes for builds, there arent that many items
the strict meta argument doesn't amount to shit if you're playing with friends (which you should always be doing)
only use meta in ranked (or dont play ranked the border isnt worth it)
play the game to have fun and you'll realize that just because dota is more technically advanced doesn't mean its the better game
