#10 Dual monitor issue in Off Topic

Mine does this too and just started out of nowhere a few months ago. I have a 970 and I doubt it's the problem but it could be some driver issue introduced in the last few months. Twitch, and some other video sites, will run essentially in slowmo. If I drag the tab over to my main monitor it's fine.

I will say that usually (but not always) the problem goes away if I use a different browser. Newer versions of Chrome might be the problem. I get this with baseball streaming sites too that stream at like 6000kbps and usually if I lower the bitrate it'll go away. Internet speed isn't the problem as it always goes away if watching on my primary monitor. It's a weird problem.

#46 TF2 Blog: "Balance Changes" in TF2 General Discussion
ZwocklMaybe they plan to change the pyro in a way that makes him worse at spychecking and are therefore nerfing spy?

Other than that the spy changes seem pretty out of place.

To be fair the spy has gotten literal buff after buff after buff (first spycicle, then DR, then speedboost to DR, then fire-resist on DR...) that made getting away from pyros way easier than it used to be. They might just be evening it back out. In highlander I'll go from killing a spy running invis-watch a dozen times one game to literally never killing a DR spy the next.

I think the bigger problem with the amby was how easy a spy can get into position to freely spam it from distance. It prolly shouldn't have it's accuracy removed, but maybe just have it limit cloak in some way.

#86 worst pain you've ever felt in Off Topic

This sounds really stupid but you know when you get like super hiccups that kind of hurt? I got those while very sick with the flu and a bad cough. The cough hurt enough on its own but it would trigger a hiccup every time. There was basically a train of cough>>hiccup>>cough>>hiccup for hours and it was like a sledgehammer to my chest every time. I burst a ton of capillaries on my face because I was apparently wincing in pain so hard.

I've shattered my collarbone, taken a hard concussion that also caused bad back spasms for weeks, both of which immobilized me, and those weren't near as bad as the hiccups.

#14 Several gaming organizations drop overwatch in Esports

So to my understanding this is Blizzard making a league that is starting to be more attractive to legit sports orgs (like NBA teams and the like?). So when you add the financial legitimacy of those organizations you can basically price out eSports orgs who don't deal with near the same kind of money.

It's gonna be real funny to see all these "professional" gamer kids suddenly be held to the standards of an actual professional athlete if that's what's really coming. Gonna be a lot of drama because 90% of the behavior and things said on twitch or really any gamer site aren't gonna fly in the real world.

#18 pub frag movies in Off Topic
Android_I know this isn't really what the thread is about and I'm sorry, but I remember Huey Lewis having some actually pretty good pub frag vids. They seem to have disappeared. Does anyone still have them?

They gone. Hard drive I had them on died before I could reupload elsewhere too. I would also be interested if anyone happened to save any of my old stuff from like 2009.

VulcanB4nny made a checklist that didn't involve funke in any wayhttp://puu.sh/ttYzQ/44058bebb9.jpg
edit: please leave robtheawsm
If I'm not mistaken B4nny made the checklist, you felt obliged to respond to it, B4nny responded back, you got incredibly defensive and you guys argued like children

More like banny retreated from discourse on a site where people were disagreeing with him to try to call someone out to a group of "followers" much more likely to be positively receptive.

*and there's nothing wrong with that, but the argument followed him.

#31 Prepare me psychologically for the update in TF2 General Discussion
TobNot even trying to meme:
They could buff pyro mechanics to a point were almost every last hold will use a pyro in 6s because it'd be stupid not to.
If the core mechanics of pyro become absolute aids not even the global whitelist can save us unless stock pyro gets banned which will never happen.
That's the worst case scenario.

Whoops, prematurely posted.

Was gonna say: Most people who are actually decent at pyro want flames/airblast to be harder and more skill-indexed so they can also add something else to the class, such as mobility. If they go the opposite route I think most people would obviously be disappointed. I don't know what will happen though, as most of their previous changes to pyro have actually made the class more one-dimensional =\

#112 Crowns are gold at Insomnia58 in News

I'm not a very big fan of it simply because a coach in this position will simply see more than any of the players.

I think every demo review I've ever done, or see someone else do, has included multiple "oh I didn't just see that at the time" moments. There's a lot that you don't see or consider when you're fighting or just thinking about something else. That's effectively gone with a main-calling coach, multiple times over. It's a huge advantage over a team without one. On top of that, think of how often any kind of flank play can be nullified by having someone simply not involved with any action repeatedly warning you to check behind, or check for spies/snipers, or check for stickies while your surging forward, etc.

The potential for this kind of coaching is extremely high, but whether or not it played out that much is hard to know. It can obviously be a really big advantage over a team without one though.
