#8 A rant about Competitive tf2 financial crisis/art in TF2 General Discussion

I appreciate the money that goes into production. I feel guilty that I am not able to contribute financially, because in many cases, more money can make a bigger difference than more volunteers.

I know the contributions I have made to the TF2 community come nowhere close to the amount of contributions some others in the community (past and present) have made. But I think even they would agree with the statement that for a community that enjoys the high-quality stream production and presence at LANs, there is very little appreciation given to support or thank those who helped make that happen.

#10 Moving to asia, need some info/advice about tf2 in TF2 General Discussion
Meejaeyugc asia division is basically a joke

Relative to the NA divisions, I would expect the other regions to be even more a joke. I said what I said jokingly.

#1 IF YOU REALLY NEED AN OPEN MEDIC in Recruitment (looking for team)

I'm putting this out here because team signups close in 4 days and there is as always, the consideration of not having separate divisions.
Basically, if you're an Open team who's desperate for a Medic in order to start the season, I'm around, and I can pay league fees. HOWEVER, keep in mind this is temporary, and this is more meant to get a team in a starting position for the season as I leave on June 11th to work at a summer camp.

If you're desperate, UGC has Asian divisions, but I don't know how active they are.

#63 drop out in Off Topic

Depending on where you live and what the deadlines are, you may have the option of dropping your courses and re-taking them in the fall semester. If you are over 18, you can also consider adult high schools and take your needed courses at your own pace.

Due to mental health issues, I chose to drop my courses for the remainder of the semester, and I am taking them next year along with other courses I need to graduate. For myself however, this wasn't a major issues as I was planning to go back for an extra year to take those courses. (I am in a specialized program, so I have to take extra courses, but in Ontario, you can opt to take a 5th year of high school, so I did that to spread out my courses.)

#36 Petition to Classify eSports as "Legitimate" Sport in Esports
PapaSmurf323I always liked "Competitive Gaming". Compare it to chess and people understand.

I have always agreed with calling it "competitive gaming" because eSports to me sounds a little cheesy, but it's the universally accepted name at this point. The problem is, there isn't a word I can think of in the English language that implies a competitive but not necessarily physically athletic activity.
