I have about a month left of university. First off my dissertation is killing me, but second and more important I have no plan whatsoever for what to do after the world goes back to normal. I had a good job for summer all but laid in and now it's gone completely. I just want a stable enough income that I can afford a new computer and play more TF2. Back in the day I had a decent laptop but awful internet, now in my uni town I have great wifi but my laptop's gotten older and slower and each update makes TF2 harder to run. In all honesty my life is pretty OK at the moment but I'm worried about what comes next.

Optimization. I might even hit 20fps.

For real though, we've heard for years how TF2 is a ballache of a game to work on because the base code is so messy after so many people working on it for so long, but making TF3, or even just porting TF2 over to source 2, would be the perfect opportunity to sort it out so valve developers actually want to work on it
