Often I'd already have the stream open, then I'd go to i52.tf to check on brackets or whatever, and I'd get the whole double-but-slightly-off-sync stream effect due to it automatically playing. Maybe next time it'd be nice to have it show up only when people click something, first?

Much like kids going on tantrums, it's just distasteful to witness, that doesn't mean people aren't mentally equipped to 'handle it'.
In my opinion, shit talking falls into the category if distasteful and childish behavior. I dislike that people do it and would prefer a scene without it, but it's not a big deal. Rather like someone loudly belching in public - rude, but nothing worse than that.
Physically harassing players falls into the category of 'sabotaging the event', though obviously in a relatively small way. With shit talk I'd like to see things set up so that it won't happen, due to its distasteful nature, but it's not a big deal. With physically interfering with gamers' playing, it's actually important and should be a priority to make sure it doesn't happen.
Every single game involving 4G, Epsilon, Mixup and iM the most amazing games around in group stages and knockout stages. Then the grand finals came along.
I don't get all the hate based on nationality (in Twitch chat and to some degree the crowd, obviously people misbehaving should get removed from the venue like any other persons disrupting events).
That inspirational quote by kaidus that ipz posted kinda sums it up. Why hate 4G and mix^, when the community donated by the dozens to get them to the LAN, so that we'd get to see the amazing matches that were played? Why hate mixup, when you could be getting hyped about brilliant Seagull flanks and harbleu capping last points in golden cap rounds? Why hate iM, when you could be hyped by the sick headshots and pocketing going on by sheep and yuki? Why hate Epsilon, when you could be getting hyped over Mike hitting all the airshots?
It's much more fun if you watch because you want to see the absolute best of TF2, and you want to see the absolute best teams around the world play against eachother. Not because you want one of them to 'show supremacy' or whatever, but because damn, each of these teams just has frag movie play after frag movie play, and if you choose to limit yourself to only appreciate the plays from one team, you are a sillyman who loses out on a lot of amazing moments.
Really great that there's a highlander cup as well, looking to be fairly competitive as well, with a good number of top level highlander players coming specifically to play highlander.
I was wondering though, where can I find the schedule/brackets for the matches (if there is/are any already)?
Edit: Got it!
tf/custom/<whatever you named it>/resource/ui has most of these elements. If you choose to copy them to a different HUD, be sure to check if any fonts are used that are not in your clientscheme.res, if there are, copy the font definitions over from the other HUD.
Main menu also has a file in tf/custom/<whatever>/resource, I believe, and might use some custom images as well.
By the way, I know this because I asked rays about it some time ago. All credit goes to rays for being the awesome HUD-maker and Mastermind of all things HUD.
First HUD in a looong time that actually made me try the HUD itself, rather than just copying a single element of it to my Frankenstein HUD. Looks amazing! :)
What happens when you manually exec the autoexec.cfg you created? Try putting in an echo somewhere (echo "Bla bla test bla THIS IS IN CAPS SO THAT I WILL BE SURE TO SEE IT IN CONSOLE"), see if it's executing your autoexec on startup, and if not, try execing it manually, and see if the echo appears in console. It won't fix anything per se, but it could give some clues about what's wrong.
This video is amazing, probably my favourite frag video right after prem! Good job and keep making these, please :>
I've done it fairly recently, what do you mean by 'broken'? If it's crashes on certain ticks, mat_queue_mode 0 should fix it.. 'broken' is a bit vague to know if that's the issue that needs fixing for you, though.

I started streaming ~2 weeks ago. Still getting the hang of it, but it's a fun learning experience, and I look forward to improving and meeting some cool people, as well as interacting with the cool people who already stop by :>
I mostly do pubs and jumping, I streamed a bunch of lobbies as well, but there the framerate hit is quite annoying, so though I'll do some of those, it won't be the 'main' thing.
I try to make it a point to stream every evening (~21:30 CEST) for an hour or two, but sometimes work or social obligations mean I have to skip a day.
As for competitive teams, it's low-level stuff some people at these forums would probably snub, but hopefully most won't care. Either way these are the teams I'm currently in: http://etf2l.org/teams/20134/ and http://www.ugcleague.com/team_page.cfm?clan_id=10838 (I'm only a backup for the latter team, haven't actually needed to play for them yet).
If I forgot to include any information you need, I'll be happy to provide it!
Stuff goes into tf/custom/<arbitrary directory name whatever you want to call this>/blah, for example, tf/custom/content/sound/ui in this case
Ariethat's how desperate EU casting situation seems to be atm.
Guess it's meant to be, Admirable. Go out there and cast some games! It's what you are destined to do! Now go, and fulfill thy regal quest!
Edit: that's not to say the situation has to be desperate, just that there's no way you can refuse now.. let's make sure we're not sending the wrong message here
