#1 Help me decide please! in Q/A Help

I don't know whether or not to, but I made a MODIFIED Config for myself that is based off Rhapsody's, I understand people prefer Comanglia's but this one is actually supposed to balance a little bit of graphics and a little bit of FPS, and it has the style of Rhapsody's so it has an easy setup in the console, it's a little different, but I mean, should I release to the public, because... Well, I know how teamfortress.tv people are, and they typically don't like things similar to what already exists. So, mind if anyone helps me decide? I am not trying to completely copy, I accidentally copied before, I just didn't pay attention because well I'm don't think about things sometimes before I post, but that's just me.

these don't improve fps and can decrease it. stop trying to push the fact that you can give people better fps.

I am not saying that I can give people better FPS I am just trying to put in something.

Comanglia, I do not know if these codes improve FPS, I am pretty sure they do a little, I tried it, I think they work.
r_rimlight 0
r_worldlights 0 If you can add these and test them out that would be great, it might help a bit.

Mercyless-so much fucking hostility the fuck is your issue idiots
if his config is crap just don't use it christ

I appreciate that you are saying that but you don't need to say anything you may put yourself at risk of them charging back at you about it, just be careful.

Well when you make it you can always modify it for your system this is mostly for lower level PCs like mine, but you can always look stuff up on Google and learn how to modify for your system or turn on some things here and there if you actually like them on.

#12 Evolve's GMod FPS Config in Other Games

Added r_rimlight 0
net_graph from 1 to 0
mat_bumpmap from 0 to 1
violence_a and hblood 1 to 0
Removed a sv_forcepreload 1 due to it making the game stutter a bit sometimes when in a game and sometimes actually lowers FPS
mat_specular from 1 to 0
mp_decals 9 to 5
Changed fps_max 132 to 115 for more stable FPS
r_queued_post_processing 1
r_queued_decals 1 These two improve FPS slightly if kept on.

Phoenix21EvolvingEnviousGo to here to see the differences. http://pastebin.com/c3FR0QJmin what config there is a 131 fps cap.
every fps config I saw after chris' had no cap on fps because it would be laggy.

I saw some after Chris's that has it on, It is actually a good thing, because it keeps FPS stable because they will start tearing if you go too high.

It actually is slightly different and I removed some things that just made it lag more.

M4ngoLhow is this different from others?

I understand I got a little off track but, just in case because some people that do both Gmod and TF2 they start looking at it the wrong way so just in case. But anyways... Let me start this over again, I will post a pastebin and I will look in my config to find any removed or added lines.

M4ngoLhow is this different from others?

I added a few more lines in it that improve FPS and removed some due to them being invalid and the possibility to crash some peoples games especially with older computers. If you look at my GMod one it is close to the same, but has to remove some for that one because specific ones only work for TF2, the reason why they are close to the same is because TF2 and GMod use the same engine. So they use sort of the same lines.

flatlineso what did u change

I have added a couple new lines to it that help improve FPS because I found some things that actually drops it a little bit, I also deleted some lined because they were outdated and invalid so it had the possibility to crash some games especially for older PCs.
