left-handed viewmodels are messed up now though, since they're now not just client side. You can't continue shooting/reloading if you switch your viewmodel side, its as if you switched off and back on to your gun. I don't know why they even did that, it's not like anyone was complaining that they couldn't tell which side someone had their gun on.

I don't really see it tbh, sniper is just going to hold an angle for a few seconds looking for something and then hold another angle if he can't get a pick, not much mobility needed. Unless you mean like during transitions or rolling out, but then your soldier is too busy whipping a sniper and can't really do any aggressive plays.

Too high of a skill floor. The reason why tactical shooters like valorant are what's popular now is because those games at a fundamental level are pretty simple to understand and grasp, a beginner could jump into their first game and be able to get some kills, maybe even go positive on k/d and win. You can't really do that in something like ql, you already have to have a good grasp on movement and know the map you're playing very well and be able to understand how item/map control works & be able to control the major items. I felt like it was pretty hard to convince my friends to try out stuff like diabotical or quake when they had to spend like an hour learning all the stuff about the game just to get rolled anyway.

Why's that? CS Faceit has that type of anti-cheat and while it isn't perfect it works a lot better than vac and is much faster & easier than reviewing demos. I personally wouldn't mind something like that being implemented and don't see an issue with it.
scratchhit should STILL be the market gardener. that shit sucks to play against. No primary 6s class should have a free instant kill left click weapon especially a class with as much mobility as soldier.
a bit of a derailment of the thread but why do people see an issue with the mg? 195 dmg is a lot and oneshots ppl in 6s most of the time but you'd need to hit a melee midair for it, otherwise you do 0/65 dmg and are right in front of the enemy's face with a melee weapon out. Most of the time I feel like its just better to hit them with a more consistent 90-100 dmg rocket and be able to follow up with a splash rocket assuming they don't surf the first shot, not to mention the utility you're missing out with the escape plan. I am open so maybe I just haven't seen it being used very well, but is it really oppressive enough to warrant a ban?
