I've played on teams that wanted to have fun and just play organized tf2. i've played on teams that wanted to improve and be the best, and many things in-between. Or if you're really sapped for time but still enjoy the game, look into being a ringer or just playing pugs/pugscrims.

If she's using iOS you really can't beat airpods. (especially the pro's). Nothing beats them in convenience, and user experience. However, there are ones that can sound better, but may be less convenient. If it's not iOS, personally I can vouch for Galaxy Buds+. Great headphones, sound nice. Only thing they lack is ANC.

Off by default is a good setting as long as people know there is a way to turn it on. Case being, sometimes people post dumb shit on here that I wouldn't want a passerby seeing. Image embeds being off get rid of most of that concern.

kiwifarms is a bit of a shithole where people go exclusively to mock/make fun of/observe people's fall into insanity/weird behaviour. It's a toxic place by design. The blurb at the top about using a banned player in scrims is simply a rules notice saying that a banned player is allowed to participate in an RGL scrim (with restrictions), but if they do something that would be bannable during said scrim the punishment may apply to the team & team leader. The actual ban reason is posted at the bottom of the page under discipline history. In this case, "Use of homophobic slurs in a scrim. An increased sentence for Invite players."

It took me like 7 years of constant playing just to get to invite and go 0-17. Yet I saw other players work their asses off and really practice hard and get better results in like 2 years. Do you think this upset me? Not at all, if anything I was impressed by the work ethic of newer players. If you wanna play at a high tier, it's either gonna be a LONG LONG LONG (but fairly easy) grind. Or you're gonna have to work your ass off. You don't get good at game without proper dedicated practice. I've never played with, or watched Young_Sanity play, but from what I can tell they work hard and get results for it. Be happy for them, and then use it as motivation to get better yourself. Or keep shitposting on the forums and stay how you are.

I've used TorGuard in the past (no affiliation with TOR/TOR browser). It was fairly good and a decent price. Has an extension for firefox, however i've never tested that as I always ran the windows executable. Could be worth a shot.
