THEBILLDOZERComangliasnipi told him some similar stuff already, im just at a point where there isnt a whole lot left for me to do. i guess ill just keep telling him.
12:41 PM - BURG BLOOM: real talk i was worried that i would wake up and you would be dead
12:42 PM - [omitted]: Fuk u bish
12:42 PM - [omitted]: Im just pixels on the internet
12:42 PM - BURG BLOOM: yeah
12:42 PM - BURG BLOOM: but i like those pixels
12:43 PM - [omitted]: The new meds im on have a 33% chance to cause seizures ;)
12:44 PM - BURG BLOOM: heres hoping they dont then
12:45 PM - [omitted]: USA USA USA
12:46 PM - BURG BLOOM: how much did you take last night
12:46 PM - [omitted]: All of em
12:46 PM - BURG BLOOM: :(
At some point I feel like this guy might be overexaggerating a bit, cause honestly as d_b alluded to earlier this guy should already be dead if he's being honest.
And honestly I don't think their's that many meds out their that have a 1/3 in chance of causing something THAT serious so quickly for just taking 1 or 2...
Though I can see why you're concerned, and it's quite possible that matt might not believe what you said or was high when you said that you were worried about them.
-edit-
Do what Herr_P said honestly it's better to be wrong about someone being suicidal than right.
THEBILLDOZERI know that tftv isnt the best place for this, but i would prefer somewhere thats a little more personal, and has a lot of my peers for this discussion. I hope I dont catch any flak for this, but im really worried about my friend matt. hes sort of a close internet friend, in that he hangs out with a lot of my real life friends on line. he and i get along pretty well. we play a lot of csgo together and he snipes on my highlander team. but he has a bit of a substance abuse problem, specifically with prescription drugs. it was never a big problem, maybe wed get occasionally pissed at him because he took sleeping pills before a match, or something like that. its important to note that he has chronic depression, but hes always a fun guy in teamspeak. cracks jokes and such, and we all have fun.
But last night he had a schizophrenia level breakdown. started seeing shit, people, and it was pretty awful to have to listen to, and probably pretty rough for him. he said he was completely sober, which worries me. he claims to not be suicidal, but when i get messages like
4:13 AM - [omitted]: 150mg of xanex 300mg if prozac 300mg of ambien 1.5 grams of vyvanse down le shoot
4:13 AM - [omitted]: See you in hell
it really starts to worry me. and then earlier today, when i found out he was alright, he starts going on drugs.com to see which ones he shouldnt take together, specifially so he can. And the entire time i know i cant do anything. ive been telling him that he shouldnt do this stuff, and that i dont want him to die, but he seems like hes having fun and thats what worries me the most. i dont know what i expect to get out of this thread, because it doesnt seem like he can be stopped, but i just wanted to get this off my chest. maybe some suggestions would be nice.
sorry for ranting
It might sound sappy, but you could just tell "matt" that you're worried about them and you don't want anything to happen to them. Probably a really good start.
g402 feels mostly the same
cord is heavier
grip is slightly more narrow
scroll wheel is definitely different
and it's max control speed is insane
source: used 1 for a week to prove to a friend this mouse was fine (he thought i had him order some pos)
luckily my g400 and g400s both still work perfectly fine.
What are your PC power settings?
Only thing I can think of if it's not temp related is you have your CPU going from 5-100% of it's clock speed like the default power settings suggest. When you want 100% at all times if you want max frames.
miwocome to san diego if you like:
- guidos of SoCal!
- clubbing and $12+ drinks!
- 1hr+ commute times!
- median home price upwards of $450,000!
- the only nice areas of town are filled primarily with retirees and republicans!
- large homeless population!
- go anywhere in over 1.5 hours by bus using our public transportation or walking!
- methamphetamine capital of the world (inland)!
- only able to get a job if you work for the military!
- a shitty int'l airport with flights $100 more expensive than neighboring airports!
- the most corrupt city goverment east of the Mississippi!
we have craft beer and cheap tacos + guac.
You mean West?
KhanTF2I've been running this config on a dual-core cpu for the last two months without any problems, with r_queued_decals and cl_threaded_bone_setup to 0, however I was running on mat_queue_mode 2. I've changed this to -1 now as you recommended but wanted to ask whether it is absolutely necessary to do so as I feel like I got better performance with it set to 2. Thanks!
it might not be, technically -1 should still use multithreading if your cpu can handle it. Use 2 if it works perfectly fine for you.

Yay I made it, damn I got showed up by pine so hard.
Phrakturei dont think there's a reason to cap fps unless you're using in game accel
but if you must id recommend at least 121 while playing at 60hz
CPU temps, especially if you're on a laptop. Though capping to around 100fps is usually fine for laptop users.
Raising the FPS cap, or trying to find a higher refresh rate monitor would help a lot.
-edit-
If you or anybody else who views this really wants to get the most refresh rate at 1080p on single link dvi these setting should work for you if you use CRU (custom resolution utility) http://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-Custom-Resolution-Utility-CRU
http://i.imgur.com/366dgNK.png
I left a tiny bit of room for overhead so that way you're not 100% maxing out the capabilities of the monitor. (You could reach 76Hz if you wanted to.)
That should also help reduce screen tearing.
VoldymortComangliaVoldymortis there anything i could play around with to make using this fps config stable for my dual core cpu? i really would like to use a more updated fps config than chris' for that maximum fps
open the cfg
ctrl + f
"cl_threaded_bone_setup"
change the 1 to 0
and just above that
"mat_queue_mode 2"
change the 2 to "-1"
should i change r_queued_decals to 0 as well or is that ok for dual core? i have an AMD processor
Woops forgot about that.
Yes, disable that command too.
