I have anger in that scouts have to deal with like 3 things ever and those are granary, the direct hit killing them in 1 shot, and mini sentries and they still complain.
I'm just gonna say despite any head admin stuff:
a.) I wouldn't have gotten into comp without UGC and I started in highlander (didnt know ESEA existed until I heard about it from people playing in newbiemixes)
b.) Generally the admins were understanding and made decisions well (at least from my point of view in my experience)
c.) Highlander is a game mode and it is fun to some people. Personally I don't care for Highlander. The issue is that people play Highlander and it takes away from people who do 6v6. This season both Jaguar and I denied many tryouts who were good players but also played Highlander because we wanted to scrim on Sunday and Monday but there are teams that don't do that and have Highlander players. There is an issue, in my opinion, where players play only Highlander and not 6v6.
Generally reasons tend to be:
a.) its not fun. (valid reason but allot of HL players who play this play a 6v6 lobby and say 6v6 is not fun. That usually isn't the case the other way around. Most people who play 6v6 will say "I used to play Highlander but 6v6 is so much better"
b.) Toxicity of 6v6 players (in my experience highlander players are by far more toxic and i'm a person who experienced wpj power pugs as an iron medic...)
c.)They don't have time ( there are many people who play 6v6 who only play 1-2 scrims a week or only matches)
d.) They cant play their class/their class isn't played in 6v6. (valid only if you enjoy playing strictly one class 100% of the time. In our scrims our flank scout legit sac's and plays sniper many of our stalemates, unskilled will sack and go spy a few times, engi is almost always used on last (mini sentry or not), heavy is used as well not only on last holds but last pushes. The only class that doesn't receive much use is the pyro, which is why we have a "update" coming soon that's supposed to attempt to "fix" pyro.
tldr: Highlander players who only play HL for the most part haven't played 6v6 enough to make a good decision on whether they like HL or not. however 6v6 players who play HL generally try to play both or say that they like 6v6 better and it's more skilled and HL is very aids.
also ugc admins were fine imo.
rocketslayTfw u save invite but accidentally kill im by moving up too many teams
except people shouldnt be sandbagging so its not the moveup's fault but the sandbaggers.
what happened to spaceghost
To add to that make sure to put it in the role_request. Put in your name, role(coach or admin), day/time available.
this thread should be stickied tbh
i know multiple people in "high open low/mid Im" that would like to coach including myself.
So now its possible for murkscribe's team to have a match against Sparkle gang? thanks.
Thank you sandbagging open teams for not deciding to play IM instead. Hope you are happy cuz i sure am not.
SpaceCadetI see no reason why the IM division would be disbanded if we only had 14-16 teams.
We still end up with 3-5 dead teams every season by the 3rd week anyways so what does it really matter what we start with?
Last season was a great IM season as far as matches played and teams staying alive as compared to many other seasons.
3-5 teams in IM means at least league fees, if not a month of premium on top of that, and whatever subs are used as leaders try to keep their dying team alive. That's $270-$450 in just league fees. For a base 18-30 players with premium for each one added to the previous totals, it comes to $396-$660 and that's not even including any subs used.
TLDR: MONEY MATTERS
edit: What keeps ESEA from dropping TF2 is that its profitable.
Maybe I'm wrong but I feel like if 2-3 teams moved up then you wouldn't be stomped all season because then those bottom 3-4 teams would be about equal and it wont be 1 team vs. mid/high invite.
Since when has the majority of TF2 players played because of money? I definitely don't want ESEA to die, but marking TF2's survival on the downfall of ESEA doesn't seem realistic to me. The majority of players play because its fun. Being good at the game and improving is fun. Playing with teammates is fun. Obviously some people will leave if ESEA dies, especially at the top level, but I feel like more people would still play than people are expecting. ESEA isn't the only league where people can play at a high level. we may not have that league now but I doubt that we wouldn't form one(or make existing ones better) even if ESEA did drop TF2.

I have some issues with uber tracking and positioning on mids. I feel like I'm not really playing aggressive with my scouts but I'm not sure if its me that is the issue or my scouts not playing with me. I also was wondering about my positioning generally on holds, and how much I should or shouldn't peek chokes and who I should tank in certain situations.
Is pretty cool dude. Generally positive. Super friendly.
Other than when he begs people in mumble to pick him over the clearly better choice he's pretty cool. (^__^)
