2 messages above the RoL one, Hayley is one of the players on the other team in the log. RoL probably messaged them to scrim, and they accepted. After a half + a little more they dipped because they didn't want to play when cheeto is in the server. After they dipped RoL tried getting ANOTHER scrim. You can't get more guilty than this.

If you want to get Walrex, Sin Karma, or Ninjanick banned, then prove it. Show the evidence that suggests that not only did they play a pugscrim with them, but also got the scrim in the first place. Oh wait, there isn't any evidence. Being friends with cheeto on steam doesn't prove anything. Playing in a pugscrim with cheeto doesn't prove anything. Ninjanick already got cleared by RGL (https://rgl.gg/Public/Team.aspx?t=11032&r=40). He was rostered on a team where cheeto and a bunch of other people where alting. Everyone on that roster but Ninjanick got banned.

what you think of someone and their character is irrelevant to rainoflights situation here. It is clearly an overreach on someone just trying to play tf2 and get better by any means necessary. It shouldn't be a random ringers job to verify everyone on their pugscrim. All this was was an informal game between teams who agreed to play eachother, nothing rgl needed to dip their nose into

Brimstoneputting aside whether or not rol's actually in violation of the rule as it's written, it's honestly dumb that rgl tries to even make/enforce a rule like this since:

1. this has been said ad nauseam but why the fuck are you policing scrims, esp pugscrims??? I've been thinking for a long time that this shits insane overreach and completely unenforceable in any consistent manner. rgl staff has neither the manning or the interest in actually realizing whatever ideal this rule is supposedly trying to uphold. instead you get scattered case by case enforcement based on """reporting"""

2. it's pretty obvious anybody who cares about not playing against/with banned players simply refuse to scrim against or pug with people like that anyways, so their ability to play the game when they're already banned from the league is made harder regardless of rgl's input. most of the time when an rgl team gets into a server against banned players it's because they had no idea, and most tf2 teams have at least one player virgin enough to go profile hunting and figure it out before the scrim even starts and then subsequently bait anyway. short of breaking into cheeto's house and smashing his computer idk wtf you realistically want to do more than banning him from playing officials and letting his own toxicity ostracize him from pugs with more normal people

3. I've felt for a while that the actual goal in mind this rule was written with was to enable for specific rgl staff the ability to further harass players that are already banned, gain access to going after their friends and taking out entire circle jerks, and occasionally abuse the vagueness of the rules to just ban people specific staff don't like in an ah ha gotcha moment the moment you notice they violated in some manner one of the ways the rgl rules can be interpreted in.

Whatever your opinion is on whether or not people like cheeto and his ilk deserve institutionalized league policing outside of officials and other rgl spaces like their new pug website, this shits completely outside the scope of what a league for this game should be trying to do, especially since it's really easy for a staff member with a vendetta to look for interpretations of the rules that fit their personal goals. it's easy to cheer for rgl when they go after cheeto and gxq but it's honestly ridiculous.

rol has never done anything more offensive than snipe too much and not speak in pugs, and is now supposedly being banned for being too addicted to tf2 to give a single fuck about whatever dumb shit his demoman said yesterday over discord. That's really something special since that's like half the active pug population playing this game today.

couldn't have said it better myself, policing scrims is absolutely an overreach i've been saying for years and and this overstepping of boundaries just claims innocent victims with no recourse

My internet was going out every so often that day cause they were working on fiber optic lines in my area, we had a ringer on standby so when my internet did inevitably went out they didn't have to end scrims or play 5v6. I had no control over the events at that time
