#42 It's about time for a promod in TF2 General Discussion
Nub_DanishAdnurakTideTF2I think what TF2 really needs at this point is a spiritual successor.
Maybe when source 2 finally comes out.
I'm inclined to agree. These days the way I think about it is: Overwatch is the League of Legends to our DotA, now we're just waiting on our own Dota 2.

it's never going to happen
tf2 has no strategic depth
comparison between tf2 and overwatch is honestly retarded tf2s skill comes almost entirely from mechanics whereas overwatch internationally dumbed down some mechanics to allow other components of skill to thrive, granted a lot of it was probably just to bring in more casual players who don't want to learn nuanced mechanics like bunny hopping, rocket jumping, surfing, and air strafing.
I enjoy those mechanics too, but the problem with them is there almost secrets to alot of new players, people have literally made it to invite without knowing what ctapping i don't think new players want to be hindered because they don't know about "secret mechanics". So the options are remove them entirely or try to compose lengthy ingame tutorials to teach people the mechanics they chose option one and i can understand why.

Connor your inability to use the correct version of there/their/they're infuriates me.

Thankfully no one was killed thanks to the police and the fact that this guy didn't get his hands on a gun or someone would have been dead for sure.

#826 2016 election live results in World Events

It's been obvious for months his cabinet and policies would all be neocon establishment direction considering his very sub par grasp of both his own policy substance and how the political machine even works.

Bannon is as much anti-establishment as his campaign finance manager who is also ex-Goldman Sachs.

It's still early so maybe he can still give me some hope that I had but it looks like the populist right movement has been played hardcore by someone who is going to be a sockpuppet for the republican establishment.

ViperDarkNecridwordsyou act as if global warming and rising water levels are suddenly an incredible issue

global warming has been an issue since the 1990s, and i'm fairly certain will continue to be an issue into the 2020s

as much as the consumer and every day citizen can cut down on his or her carbon footprint and keep the environment healthy, the big business corporations will continue to burn fossil fuels and churn out ozone obliterating emissions until serious sanctions, penalties, and fines are put in place to the point where those corporations are losing more money burning fossil fuels than they would spend making the switch to clean energy

and we just elected a congress and president that wants to make that easier for them btw

eeeI dont like the people saying hillary lost because everyone got called racist or bigotted. Its a really sad thought in an abstract sense. Assume that all the people who voted for trump were kkk members or w/e: if calling them racist or bad people loses the election does that really say anything good?

People keep trying to dismiss getting called racist by saying people were tired of it. They might be tired of it, but that doesn't mean they stopped being racist. Assuming both sides are half right in the sense where racism was a motivating factor and being called racist was a motivating factor for the GOP then racism is still an issue. Calling a spade a spade shouldnt be so triggering to so many people but the fact that everyone got upset about it doesnt refute the base argument that race is still a motivating factor for republican voters. Do we really want to be the country where people would rather say "no im not" and avoid introspection? At the end of the day if the GOP wasnt interpreted as racist then calling them racist wouldnt be such a common thing that the base could rally around it. Id rather people take time to explain why their policies arent racially motivated instead of just saying they arent racists themselves, so they could never vote for something racist

It was p obviously a bad political move tho.

you have missed the point of all the cathartic dialogue we've had in this thread
