ElacourRaf told me he got an email confirmation that he was applying for captain and he also talked about it with you aoshi..

Also how can you consider Elazul's apply being worse ? He had a full lineup and way stronger, he was leader of a hl team before and you still chose ganon, that never reached prem and had absolutely no players with him.

There is no such thing as confirmation emails so I'm not sure where you got that idea. I talked to Raf after the captains were announced because he was upset. When talking with Raf I showed him the proposed rosters from both Ganon and Elazuls applications and he also picked Ganons.

Reaching prem doesnt make you a good captain, I dont even see how these are related. Ganons application was better written and worded. Ganon has also lead HL teams so I'm not sure where that statement holds relevance.

CazaroCnothing can help us, if the Great Aoshi wont do anything to help the french to get a good roster. We just have to wait that the cup start and loose every match because our roster is weak and not optimized

Lake4hpA lot of national HL teams this time around are clearly scrambled together from the few players who are willing to play HL. If I had to guess Ganon got captain because he was the one who had initiative to make the team.
Raf also applied for the captain spot. I heard some nR player willing to play HL but not with Ganon captain, Expect much.

Raf's application never came through and the other application was worse. Not much more to say about it tbh.

MenachemoblaThe opinions gathered from polls and messages posted on the all forums are all vital to the Global Whitelist.
I don't really have strong opinions about what should or shouldn't be allowed, but the above appears false. Maybe I'm missing something, but the only worthy survey (aka not done on strawpoll) that I saw was this one, and for the most part those results appear to have been ignored. The Vaccinator didn't make it onto any of the "please ban" lists (though it did come close), while other weapons that were universally panned are staying unbanned. Seriously, Natashca, Machina, and the Loch?

Again, I don't really have a horse in this race. As long as completely broken shit is banned I'm happy, and I'll stay happy with every unlock ban until the game itself is on the list. Just don't talk about how important polls and shit are to you if they didn't actually have any influence.

Although that poll was probably one of the more popular things within the discussion it is kinda lacking. Main reasoning within the whitelist changes are weapons what were discussed. Active discussions with players, definitely higher level ones, are more appealing because you see the reasoning behind why they want a weapon banned/unbanned.
Personally after asking around 35-40 ETF2L Premiership players the Vaccinator got a 70% in favor of a ban. The poll of GentlemanJon had it around 50-50.

Thank you to everybody who tried to actively participate within the discussion. All feedback was read and discussed with the participating people. Although we wont be able to make everybody happy we try our best.

With Obla doing much of the work I recon we should rename it to the globla whitelist though.

Looking at it, hope to have a bit of free time in the near future to work on a bot so we can fully move off of IRC onto discord. But I wont make any promises.(Dividing our communications over both IRC and Discord seems like it would be too much of a mess)

GentlemanJonI'm confused by the idea of starting an HL introductory tournament when 6v6 is literally going to be in the game client at the next major update. People know about 6v6, Valve are putting it in the game and calling it competitive, /r/tf2 is being covered in 6v6 twitch clips and a league wants to introduce people to structured competitive play in HL.

I just don't follow the logic.

Mainly because we wanted to do something for HL over the summer. Otherwise you wouldn't have any HL related event until next Autumn. The reason why it is a introductory tournament is because when we were discussing ideas this is the one most of the admins were interested in hosting.

If there is demand and we have admins who are available we can always also look into a hosting a 6s event to run over the same/similar period as the 6s Nations cup. This shouldn't really be an issue due to the nations cup only catering to a small part of the people. We would most likely not dub this as a introductory tournament but rather one for people from all kinds of experience. But this could be a short cup for people who would potentially be interested in Season 25. And for new players who are uncertain without having them committing to a full out 7 week season this would be a great opportunity.

I won't make any promises though seeing that I'll probably be busy with the HLO #2 myself and I doubt overseeing 2 cups at the same would run smoothly.

The beggar's has always been more situational then anything. Together with it being nerfed in The Tough Break Update there is no reason to have it banned.

Edit. Please stop turning this into a HL vs 6s thread. Thats not the point of this event nor even close to being relevant. Either go make your own thread for this or just stop it. The community having 2 gamemodes isn't an issue. The hostility that comes from the 2 gamemodes towards each other is.

Our banlist has always been mainly based off of feedback from within the community. We generally aim to have an as open whitelist as possible and none of these weapons have gotten a lot of complaints. This whitelist is the same as season 10 and we didn't hear of any overpowered weapons from there so no adjustments were made.
