#46 How do you like your tea? in Off Topic

It depends on the kind of tea, but generally I'll have green and pretty light black teas straight, and I'll put a little cream and sugar or honey and lemon in most other teas. My favorite tea is probably Lapsang Souchong, which I take with cream and just enough sugar to keep it from being bitter.

For iced tea:
7 generic (like lipton) teabags in 4 cups of water
microwave 6 minutes
pour into gallon pitcher
stir in 1 1/3 cups sugar until dissolved
fill pitcher with cold water

Pretty much 90% of what I drank while growing up was iced tea, and that's the way we used to make it. As a bonus, you can make a sort of pseudo Thai iced tea by not adding water, and just pouring the concentrate into a cup over ice with a little heavy cream.

#4 Aim Hero (Early Access 'Aim Practice' game) in Other Games

I don't get how things like this are supposed to be any better than just playing more of whatever game you're practicing for.

#32 What's a good mousepad? in Hardware

I really like c4 mousepads, super fast and really cheap. They come from tiny to huge, and you can custom order sheets of the material if you want to say, cover a whole desk in teflon, like a madman.

I used to have a stupid mousepad that was basically sheet steel coated with teflon. Someone did this with one. It was a good size, and certainly avoided any potential warping issues.

Through my years of playing tf2, I've been able to make a comprehensive guide to improving FPS, which I've finally decided to put up: https://pastebin.com/raw/e29qfKgS

#20 Mr Slin - TF2 Healing Class Design Reimagined in Videos

In pubs, people don't play medic very much because it's generally more fun to run around shooting at things, and there are plenty of other ways to heal, seeing as how basically every class has a way to heal themselves or others.

In comp, people will use whatever class is the most efficient at maintaining the health pool, which should always be the medic.

I expect the whole inane, misinformed commentary thing from a lot of tf2 youtubers, but not from someone who won IM.

Iccup ladder for the remaster when? Or will we, god forbid, have actual battle.net ladders again?

#9 Light vs Heavy Mice in Hardware

I definitely prefer lighter mice, as long as the sensor and build are generally high quality. I use an fk2 now, an I use to use a logitech mx300 with the little metal weight removed, so I've been playing with mice <80grams for a long time now. I tried using a friend's g502 a while back, and I couldn't stand the damned thing. It felt like I was mousing with a bowling ball.

#174 b4nny Documentary in TF2 General Discussion

So having watched this and then slept on it bit, I can't help but feel the teensiest bit let down by the final product. The trailer set up what could have been a really great analysis of how b4nny has changed as a person, which could have addressed bigger issues about how success changes people. Instead what we got was sort of a biography, mixed with a few comments about how b4nny wants to be the best, and some anecdotes about some events in the history of his teams. That said, the video was well crafted, and it was worth the watch.

Also, where's the clip with b4nny talking about how he's ok with people calling him arrogant and egotistical from the trailer?

#4 mouse sensitivity - what am i missing? in Q/A Help

If you feel like your sensitivity is making you choose between rocket jumping and aiming, go with the one that makes aiming feel better, and learn to rocket jump with it. The limiting factor here would be if your desk space literally isn't large enough to accommodate rocket jumping on a low sensitivity, in which case you're just going to have to suck it up and play with a higher sens. It's definitely possible to rocket jump on a low sensitivity, I have about 20 inches/360 and I can do jump maps and various in game jumps no problem, it's literally just a matter of adjusting to it.

As far as sniping goes, you don't have to choose between flicking and landing precise shots, watching CS is enough evidence of that. Go with a sensitivity ratio that doesn't hamper your ability to look around to a reasonable degree while scoped in, and play with it enough where you feel comfortable hitting precise shots and flick shots.

When it comes to mousepads, they haven't been necessary for a while now, with the improvements made in mouse sensor technology. The most important thing for me when it comes to a mousepad is the texture, since I really prefer a low friction pad to let me make large movements without tiring out my arm as much. If you feel comfortable without a mousepad, and you don't notice any weird sensor issues while mousing on your desk surface, don't bother spending money on one.
