This paragraph is the main problem with these types of discussions.
You either base your opinions on what players have physically achieved or you base it on what "you think" they could do if put in that situation.
I am not much for playing TF2 theory. To me, either a player actually played the class and achieved success at LAN or they didn't.
Its literally the same as saying Michael Jordan would have been the best Center of all time had he decided to play that position.
ok but this is stupid because mj was like 6'6 and clearly wouldn't be able to play center but it's reasonable to assume mike would've been at least very good on other classes
