Not sure if this is a hot take, but if reno and everyone else over at UGC genuinely cared about the health of the scene, they would close their doors. By continuing to exist, UGC splits the playerbase and discourages players from migrating to a much more competitive, higher quality league.

i feel like people would be more inclined to associate with their team's identity if the idea of a team hadn't devolved into "group of players that show up for scrims and matches for a season then disband." i still wear the tag of my old highlander team from a few years ago because we were all friends that were excited to start in a new division and we bonded by improving and playing together over the course of several seasons. it's a shame there's so much indifference nowadays to something that seems small but means a lot more than ppl give it credit for.
