Great works are not performed by strength, but perseverance - Samuel Johnson

Chaplain -- The main stint of ETF2L Season 14 is now over. Teams have been crushed, bridges have been burned and the expectations of many a foolish pundit have been unceremoniously dashed, leaving them clueless and confused in the gutter of greasy fallacies. There have been close games and defining clashes up to this point, but the most exhilarating moments and interesting developments are still waiting to be set into motion. BFF and Broder are two teams that have earned themselves a shot at a pixel trophy by the twin vectors of hard graft and talent, batting off the ankle biting of the lesser teams in the premiership and most notably the threat presented by each other. The latest fixture featuring both Broder and BFF happened barely a fortnight ago, ending with Broder taking a marginal lead and 4 out of the 6 available points.

Season 14 Broder vs BFF Overview

Medic -- Mirelin VS Hat

The real difference between Hat & Mirelin is the weight of heals they deliver to each class and target. Mirelin is one of the most soldier-centric healers in the game and I will be shocked if Zebbosai gets less than half the heals at any given time, whereas Hat will heal Kaidus a good amount of the time (at the very least a substantial amount more than Mirelin heals Ryb)

Demoman -- ryb VS kaidus

in BFF, Kaidus is THE damage and the soldiers are just distractions and enabling mechanisms. In Broder, Zebbosai soaks up the heals and does all the damage and ryb is there for area denial. Two very different teams with very different ways of approaching the utilisation of demomen.

Roaming Soldier -- Tek VS Daleth

Daleth has shown us time and time again that he knows how to do the same thing on every point of every map and I'd love to say he's going to surprise me but I'm not sure Hat covered that in his jumping tutorials.

Pocket Soldier -- Zebbosai VS CaptainHax

Hocz is absent for the game tonight as the Scandinavian Bushtucker trials go elsewhere, leaving behind a large pair of boots to fill and some big boy socks to stop CaptainHax getting blisters.

Scouts -- Cookye & Bybben VS Quad & Beavern

Cookye & Bybben are an amazing partnership but I'd love to see them stand up to Beavern after a round has finished.

Broder

Broder have been poster boys for the European scenes for as long as I can remember, only re-emerging as a contemporary world power recently. They used to be 'Torden's Boys", enjoying a long period of success in the old Division 1 and gaining the support of the community and the ire of their peers. They eventually disbanded due to personal reasons but were never forgotten, establishing themselves as one of the three greatest teams in EU history (next to Diggy and 4kings obvs)

## Mirelin ## _Previous Teams_ -- Fakkelbrigade _Accolades_ -- AFS Medic of the season Mirelin has gained notoriety for his dodging ability and his chipper attitude, often being the talk of bulletin boards with his amusing Darn fabrications and hilarious reveries. He has been part of the system for a long time and will remain that way as long as somebody wants him ## Ryb ## _Previous Teams_ -- Dignitas, 4kings _Accolades_ -- Season 3 Demoman of the season Ryb is another oldschool player, gaining fame for his titular rights in the 'Rybben' partnership and staying that way. Ryb has been out of the game for a while and has managed to leap back in at a moments notice, using the new broder team as a springboard for his success. ## Tek ## _Previous Teams_ -- Punchline, Team France _Accolades_ -- Pledge's favourite roamer Tek is a newcomer and has been rated by some as the best 'non-Mike roamer in the premiership' and is eager to prove that he is to whoever will listen. ## Zebbosai ## _Previous Teams_ -- BFF _Accolades_ -- S12 Soldier of the season, Most underrated player Zebbosai is a heal sponge prince extraordinaire, and although he isn't very good at DOTA, he's the (2nd cough) best aggressive pocket in the premiership. ## Cookye ## _Previous Teams_ -- Infused, BFF _Accolades_ -- Scout of the season S12, Sniper of the season AFS Cookye has been infamous for having a circular head a long time before he was rated as the 2nd best scout in the game, but he has progressed in more ways than one and is a force to be reckoned with. ## Bybben ## _Previous Teams_ -- Dignitas, BFF _Accolades_ -- 3x Scout of the season, 2x player of the season. Bybben always brings the goods, whether they are piping hot or on fire remains to be seen.

BFF

Boasting only a single member from their original lineup, the new-look BFF is a strange mixture of amazingly talented players and chumps with a TF2 mentality in line with Kellog's flagship cereal.

## Hat ## _Accolades_ -- _Previous Teams_ -- YYt, Infused Hat has shown that he can play every class at a sterling level and although he can't quite dodge as well as Mirelin, he knows where to put a healbeam. ## Kaidus ## _Accolades_ -- MVP, 3x Demoman of the Season _Previous Teams_ -- TCM, Tt Kaidus is pretty good at this demo thing. ## Daleth ## _Accolades_ -- Living Statue, Ed Sheeran Contestant _Previous Teams_ -- Decerto, Next Gaming Daleth has come from humble beginnings and although he was a strange pickup for BFF, he hasn't shown he was the wrong one quite yet. ## CaptainHax ## _Accolades_ -- Walked past me in the toilet at LAN _Previous Teams_ -- Pyro-Gen, Punchline, Ol-TCM What he lacks in Queueing, he makes up for in true grit. ## Beavern ## _Accolades_ -- Unb& of the Decade _Previous Teams_ -- Qn Beavern sadly became know as 'That good scout who got banned' after an admin mess-up and was forced to be excluded from ETF2L for far too many seasons. Years later and he's just 'That good scout'. ## Quad ## _Accolades_ -- Greg Carrier _Previous Teams_ -- Infused Quad has shown he has what it takes since he held the world to rights at i43 in his role as professional Greg-Carrier. Years later, the only thing that has changed is the amount of players he needs to compensate for.

Now for some predictions:

Lynchpin -- Kaidus

When Kaidus has a good day, BFF has a good day.

Man to Watch -- Quad

Pistols.

Clash to Catch -- Kaidus vs Ryb

Ryb has shown us that he's just as slow as Numlocked to mid and I'm looking forward to see how he deals with the quickest roll-out in the west, Kaidus.

Most likely to Choke –- CaptainHax

If it's going to be anyone it'll be the guy who isn't part of the team. If he stops concentrating for second then he will cave in like a badly made crème brulee.

I'm not going to promise another analysis since I haven't even started the BFF vs CC one yet. Packs of mini-cheddars don't eat themselves.

What sorry excuse for coverage is this Chaplain?!
A hodgepodge of in-jokes and filler with the slightest dusting of secondhand insight.
I remember when eSports journalists were real men.
You make me sick!
